Visited as the last attraction one of my long day on my holiday. It was a nice walk to the pier on the seaside from Fishermens' green car park and then back. wide and long pier, however for me was a bit crowded despite of the evening hours around 6pm or so. This is probably because of the lots of shops and cafe/tea-room/restaurant, which look a bit funfair type, also the different musics we can hear from different places here is a bit confused. I prefer less crowded places, but it was a nice walk to get there and walk around, though I could not find a hidden bench where is peace and calm.
Lots to eat/drink/shop and lot of tourists.

Great to see a well maintained and active pier; we have lost too many of them over the years. Wide walk-ways, fresh paint, interesting shops and arcades. Good bar and other refreshment places. Jolly without being brash. Thankfully no over-amplified tinny tannoy to distract from the sounds of the sea !

Looking better than it was before. Nice to go and visit with family that have young kids. I watched the planes from airbourne here. Lovely views. Glad to see someone is trying to help improve our town.

Fantastic place to spend an hour or two , piers are gradually disappearing around our coastline and we need to patronise them if they are not all to vanish . Don't miss afternoon tea at the tea rooms wonderful .

We've just returned from our second visit to Eastbourne but our first visit to the pier. The sight of the very attractive golden pier is unusual. The spacious walkway is unusual. It is only by reading reviews on my return that I find why there is lots of space, and why it is golden and the story behind the rebuild. At first I wasn't sure of the pier but now I wish I had learned more about it while I was there. Also, on our first day I glanced at the cafe but didn't go in as I thought it wasn't for me. How wrong could I have been, on the last day I walked through it and saw how elegant it was and what excellent cakes/food was available. I can only recommend that visitors do enter in, and not make my mistake.

A well looked after pier, clean lots of places to sit, no funfair a few shops a nice tea room.
One area which did concern me was that some of the railings looked as though a small child could get through them.

Have to say theres not that much to do anymore but still nice views to be seen, such a shame about the fire a few years ago. Clean and tidy, also good to see the glass blowing is still going after all this time.

A bit noisy but always fun to walk around a pier there is not much to do but you could take elderly relatives for ☕️ and easy to push a wheelchair round. Fresh air and sunshine- what's not to enjoy!

The owner of the pier also has two hotels on the seafront. He is fond of gold and the domes on the pier buildings reflect his taste. When the pier caught fire it was a pitiful sight and this grand old structure was at a low ebb. The new owner has rescued it and it's nice to see the improvements and evidence that it is being well maintained.
We happened to bump into the owner outside one of his hotels. We told him he was doing a great job and he said he had some exciting plans for further improvements. These historic piers are a wonderful reminder of seaside history and Eastbourne is lucky that someone cares enough to rescue this grand old lady.

This pier is worth a visit if you are in Eastbourne. Better than Brighton pier and free to get on. The contents of it seem better as well although I have not tried any.

Having memories from childhood of the excitement generated from a walk around the pier good to see that the facility through difficulties clearly is still available. Nothing special apart from the tea room which is pleasant and good service. Worth a walk around .

We found this pier to be fairly nostalgic. To see this grade 2 listed pier along this coastline was a pleasant sight. Fairly bustling, clean and tidy and worth a visit. Stretch the legs.

After the disastrous fire , Mr Gulzar bought it and despite no money that was originally promised , has spent his own and turned it around! The views from the end are spectacular , well worth a visit

The pier was lovely - a real family pleaser with plenty to do with the kids. They played in the arcades and had a great time. Lovely bar with food at the end of the pier and quirky shops to visit. definitely will be returning

We enjoyed a walk around this well maintained clean attraction that is a credit to the town
It has everything that one would expect to find in good taste ,maintained to a high standard and is clearly well used by visitors and locals alike
We would have liked to have seen it in the evening when the night club etc.might alter its ambience but not the standard of maintenance decoration etc.

Since being taken over the new owner has improved the condition of the pier. Although not a great deal to do there is a good Victorian tea room there which I have tried awhile ago. Slow service but good. A few machines for people to play on with their coins. Of course, the usual glass works and gift shop.
Well worth a walk to blow the cobwebs away.
Also there is the nightclub and bar at the end. Well visited by the younger members.

The worst fish and chips ever. Please avoid the one at the entrance to the pier. The bar at the bottom was ok though for a drink
