Very time we go to Eastbourne we always have a walk along the pier, since it's been rebuilt after the fire it's much cleaner and would recommend it

It's OK nowt flash it's at the end of the pier big white building with gold domes. Not allowed to jump off it or take dogs on it unless you're blind but then you won't be able to see it

One of the best place I've visited this August. Very good and well kept areas by the eastbourne council. A lot of things to see and do. Near to town and a lot of restaurants to choose. I just loved the place. Facilities are available to all. Will visit again next time.

With my only Pier comparison being Brighton, Eastbourne Pier was disappointing.
The Pier is around half the size of the Brighton Pier with a lot less on it.

Within the entrance of the Pier, a fish and chip restaurant was on the right side. On the left, a small arcade and a doughnut shop.
We weren't aware that Eastbourne starts to close down from 5pm or so, so the Pier starts to close down pretty much with every step we took.

At the end of the Pier, there is a night club and a small jazz bar we had a drink in. On our walk back, we were going to go into one of the small arcades but it was closing.

Overall, if you want to take some photos of the beach, the open sea or some boats going by, this is a good place.

As Piers go this is a nice one ( if you avoid The Victorian Tea Rooms).
Nice wide boardwalk and plenty of seating only a few small areas with arcade machines. Fish & Chip shop on the pier closes ridiculously early, but Harry Ramsden's is only a shirt walk away.

Stopped off here on our way elsewhere but Eastbourne pier is great. I'm not a fan of arcades but you can walk around them so all is good. It wasn't the nicest day but we enjoyed a stroll down the pier.

Lovely pier that looks stunning with the gold on it but lacks any character . Very little to do on there and the only bar on there is poor . Shame really as it could be amazing

We visited Eastbourne during the air show 2017 and spent a lot of time in the pier either buying fish and chips / ice-cream or watching the air show from the end of the pier or for buying souvenirs and using the slot machines. Very good experience for all of the family and security staff on hand to watch the crowds.

Beautiful views of the sea and Eastbourne, we love a walk on the pier. Shame that the ice cream place gave way to an arcade and that fishing is not allowed off the end of the pier any more. However it has been beatifully restored and there are more tables and benches to sit down and enjoy lunch outside.

A fine Victorian example of the British seaside complete with amusements. There is a nice cafe but it is for the walk that you need to go and the views along the beachside hotels and foreshore. It is quite a feature of the town and long may it be so.

Like all British seaside resorts, if it has a pier you must visit it! Eastbourne's Pier is Listed Building grade II* by Historic England. It was designed by Eugenius Birch and opened on 13th June 1870 and finally completed in 1872. The Pier has suffered two fires in its lifetime, the most recent in July 2014, but has since been renovated, to its former elegance. The 305 m (1,000 ft) long structure provides a long, quiet attractive walk, with occasional seating, kiosks for tea, refreshments and souvenirs; fishing is also allowed but not dogs. There is also a pavilion for events. Its main attractions today seem to be for strolling and providing excellent vantage points for taking photographs. Of course it is also an essential feature in all of one's seaward photos!

We visited the beautiful pier at lunchtime, had a really lovely, slow stroll to the end and back and we loved it! Agreed it's not crammed with noisy arcades and there's not tons of shops and food stalls but that was part of the appeal for us! Just a charming old pier x

We walked along the Grand Parade and decided to walk the pier. Nothing really 'grabbed' us but it was a pleasant walk...

Quite cute but a little tired and there was no change in 3 of the 4 arcades we tried - quite annoying!

A lovely Victorian Tea room on here, with a choice of different menu items. I recommend the Sussex Cream tea, with scone, jam, cream and tea. Lovely!

We spent a few hours on a very busy day with the Airshow going on around on the pier. Lots to see and do with plenty of food and drink outlets. Certainly worth a visit and a long walk along it.
