A nice walk down and round but unfortunately the little rooms for the arcades were cramped and hot! Think it could do with a revamp to attract more visitors as was very quiet. Visited the shop and the staff were a bit rude and no eye contact was made when my 6 year old was talking to him. Put me off a bit but I would still recommend a walk as the view is lovely.

The renovation and new paint have brought 'the old girl' back into life. A seafront with a traditional Pier is what visitors look forward to and here it's back in its' previous glory.

Nice stroll on a sunny afternoon afternoon. Tea room, amusements etc which is what you would expect. Agree with previous reviewers the gold painting looks a little odd!

On a lovely warm day take a leisurely walk along the prom. There is a bandstand not far from the pier (5 min walk) which has live outdoor music in the evening.

Nice place to go for a walk when weather is nice .quite a few amusements very clean and a vast improvement after the fire gutted a lot of the buildings on pier.

Good old fashioned pier, spruced up and a bracing walk on any sort of day. Has all the amenities you would expect with fish and chips, bars, clubs, trinket shops and the rest. The freshening up continued unobtrusively. No charge so just have a look.

We'd gone out to celebrate our wedding anniversary and ended up late afternoon at the pier.

As we walked down we noticed the pretty cafe that serves afternoon teas, had a sign up saying closed, so we carried on walking and soon came across the bar.

We decided to go in and noticed it's got lots of quaint seats, a bit like thrones which I found quite amusing!

The bar staff greeted us and asked what we'd like to drink and I noticed a sign saying cocktails were available and I asked if they did a long island iced tea and was happy to hear they did!

It was perfect and I really enjoyed it. Service was excellent here and we stayed for a couple of drinks and had a lovely time.

We look forward to going here again soon :)

It was our first time in Eastbourne - and what a delightful seaside town it is. We queued up for a typical seaside lunch! It was busy and they got through the crowds , but to the detriment of the quality of the food. The fish was cooked, but the batter was pale and soggy , the chips were cooked - just! There was plenty of seating on the pier (amongst seagulls) - let's say it filled a gap!!

this was my first time in Eastbourne, the pier was not to bad considering it had been on fire other than a tea room and pub there is little else on it.

.
This pier is slowly returning to life and although the locals resent the tardiness of the gold paint to the domes it adds to its attraction. It’s less crowded than Brighton but it has been painted and repaired where it needs to be. Being a visitor to Eastbourne the pier wonderful to see and walk along. I know a lot of the locals are against this fine structure being treated like the way it is but sometimes a fresh approach is needed and I think has done the trick. Would they rather see it left to rot and get beyond repair and lost forever, now that would be an injustice. Definitely worth a walk to the end and back.

Don't expect too much about this pier and not a big one as Brighton. But neat and have few eating places and games etc..

Came here at around 6pm on a Sunday afternoon. It does not have the insanity of the Brighton Pier and has a very calm and relaxed attitude. There is a combination of restaurants and arcades. There is a great tea house on the pier.
