Not loads of things to do on the pier, couple of small amusement arcades and gift shops but the tea shop looks to be the place to visit.
The pier was clean and tidy with plenty of places to sit and watch the world go by.
The highlight for me was seeing the owners gold Mercedes parked outside, what a car.

I went with my son of 5 years to Eastbourne, for a lads break.

My son was very excited about the pier. For me it isnt the best peir and believe it could offer a lot more to toursits. However saying that my 5 year old son loved it! He loved playing in the arcades, (playing with is pocket money) lots of machines for him to use, he loved watching the sea going back and forth. Watching all the sea gulls trying to eat everyone food. There is a small gift shop and jazz tea rooms available, we didnt go in but looked ok.

Worth a visit if your passing, but only the once. Gave a 4 star becuase my son enjoyed in very much

Lovely stroll along the pier. A quaint little Victorian cafe is there- but very expensive. Also get lovely views from the pier onto Eastbourne seafront

Since its partial burning down the owners have restored the Pier almost to its original state. Now they need to get the unique camera obscura working again. Unlike Brighton and Hove which let its listed West Pier crumble and burn to a ruin, Eastbourne has some pride in its public facilities. Its worth a visit.

There not not much to see on the pier but the view was amazing, with small shops to buy bits and pieces. Nothing

I am a daytime visitor to the pier, I say that as I am aware there is a 'venue' of sorts there. I haven't been into that so I really can't comment.
What is worth saying is that every time I go to Eastbourne I have to go into the end of the pier just for the view, it is an outstanding sea view, looking backward to the promenade and hotels is also impressive.
The arcades are minimal, more of a token gesture, but a great glass shop there, have bought really nice (hand made) glass ornaments from there previously. If you go to Eastbourne please visit the pier, you will love the view!

Lovely pier, lots of open space and plenty of places to sit. Fish and chip shop at the entrance that serves fairly good food at reasonable prices, lovely tea room in the centre and pub at the end with nic nac shops along the length. Great place to visit and even have lunch, a cuppa or a pint.

Last year the pier was undergoing a lot of work following the fire.
This year many of the old buildings are missing and there is a vast open space in the middle of the pier where they used to be. Lots of floorspace if you want to dance! The "pub" at the end of the pier has changed hands too (it used to be the "Waterhole" I think) and with the change has lost its relaxing, family friendly character and identity. The decor is rather odd - very glitzy furniture, none of which matched, chaise lounges mixed with wooden tables and garden chairs, plus photos of 50s singers and Union Jack flags covering the walls and doorways. Not sure what to make of it. Is it a nightclub now? We just wanted to chill after a very long walk and get a cup of tea whilst relaxing on a comfortable sofa, only to discover the whole establishment has been redecorated since last year and all the comfy furniture has disappeared. This place might look good in the evening if everyone is dressed for a night out but it does't really appeal to the daytime traveller - we felt a bit out of place in our trainers and shorts! I wonder if it will be there next year?

I love the pier for the easy access. You have a choice of food outlets. However slight downside you are not supposed to take your own food on.

Eastbourne has a wonderful pier thanks to Sheikh Abid Gulzar. With its shinny gold domes and extra large seating area it's a lovely place to visit on a sunny day.
