Lovely atmosphere, I would not recommend eating the chips outside on the outside tables on the pier as the seagulls hover over and can be very very annoying, you can eat inside the chippy as they have lots of tables.

We strolled along the pier and reminisced. This is a traditional, Victorian pier that has been well maintained and is currently in the late stages of being repainted. Its blue, white and gold-topped edifice is visible along the entirety of the flat promenade.

Huge shopping centre loadsa bargains. Lovely days spent on beach. A bit grim in places (quite a few immigrants looking for easy money) but as it goes WE had a lovely time and would happily visit again. Found a smashing all-U-can-eat Chinese in town centre . . . . unfortunately forgot name of it

This is a lovely pier.
Two couples were here but it was later in the day so everything was closed and we couldn't go up to the top of the building to look out.

It is beautiful here.

Since we last came to eastbourne the pier has had a new face lift and is more modern and has more places to sit. It was a very enjoyable experience

It doesn't have the rides, arcades etc that you'll find at Brighton, but that makes it more charming. It has a Victorian tea room, a small arcade and the best fish and chip shop. There are tons of places to sit too.

Traditional little number with tea and cake. Not overly impressed with the service, table service for ordering and payment at the counter where the food and drinks are pending being served to the tables. Not a problem with paying at the counter but would prefer my tea and cake without everyone talking over(let's hope that's all) mine.

A smile wouldn't go amiss either......

Every thing a pier should be. Tourist shops, candy floss, ice creams, deckchairs and amusement arcades.

Eastbourne Pier is an attractive traditional seaside pier located near to the centre of the town's seafront. It has the usual type of shops at the far end which cater to the needs of visitors. Nearby are some pleasant gardens and the Grand Parade.

The pier is undergoing some work with various paint jobs along the pier. Was very neat & tidy when we visited but there weren't many people on there. Jazz bar at the end serves drinks which is nice to grab a beer and look out to sea. Pleasant visit

Eastbourne pier is a traditional pier with shops including a fish and chip, ice cream/sweets, novelty gifts, glass and silk flower shop. There is the pubat the end of the pier providing entertainment. There is a quaint teashop which has the most outrageous chandeliers ever - this has to be experienced for the traditional English cream tea and to marvel at how the chandeliers stay attached to the ceiling!

It's an average seaside attraction, I have no interest in such things but if it's your thing it's probably really good.. Lots of "seaside" things to do.. Not much more I can say

If you're by the seaside and there's a pier you got to walk to the end - it's tradition and obligatory for me! Same as paddling if you visit the seaside! Eastbourne pier is well looked after and I had a lovely morning walk to the end and back. There's a nice cafe on the pier and a couple of small souvenir and arcade shops but all discreet and they don't take away from this being a nice old fashioned pier.

Great Pier, worth a look, lovely views across the sea and the front of Eastbourne. Nice little shops and places for a drink too.

Not loads of things to do on the pier, couple of small amusement arcades and gift shops but the tea shop looks to be the place to visit.
The pier was clean and tidy with plenty of places to sit and watch the world go by.
The highlight for me was seeing the owners gold Mercedes parked outside, what a car.

I went with my son of 5 years to Eastbourne, for a lads break.

My son was very excited about the pier. For me it isnt the best peir and believe it could offer a lot more to toursits. However saying that my 5 year old son loved it! He loved playing in the arcades, (playing with is pocket money) lots of machines for him to use, he loved watching the sea going back and forth. Watching all the sea gulls trying to eat everyone food. There is a small gift shop and jazz tea rooms available, we didnt go in but looked ok.

Worth a visit if your passing, but only the once. Gave a 4 star becuase my son enjoyed in very much

Lovely stroll along the pier. A quaint little Victorian cafe is there- but very expensive. Also get lovely views from the pier onto Eastbourne seafront

Since its partial burning down the owners have restored the Pier almost to its original state. Now they need to get the unique camera obscura working again. Unlike Brighton and Hove which let its listed West Pier crumble and burn to a ruin, Eastbourne has some pride in its public facilities. Its worth a visit.

There not not much to see on the pier but the view was amazing, with small shops to buy bits and pieces. Nothing

I am a daytime visitor to the pier, I say that as I am aware there is a 'venue' of sorts there. I haven't been into that so I really can't comment.
What is worth saying is that every time I go to Eastbourne I have to go into the end of the pier just for the view, it is an outstanding sea view, looking backward to the promenade and hotels is also impressive.
The arcades are minimal, more of a token gesture, but a great glass shop there, have bought really nice (hand made) glass ornaments from there previously. If you go to Eastbourne please visit the pier, you will love the view!
