Centrally located in Eastbourne town but nothing spectacular about the view and architecture.

It's always nice to walk round the pier , it's kept clean and well maintained , but sadly since the fire we have lost a major building ( the amusements ) and now there is just a wide expanse of nothing in its place due to the old decrepit and widely out of touch council that won't grant the owner a licence to put rides in its place..

Had a walk along the pier a couple of times & was nice to see a pier not full of amusement rides etc. Lots of seating, everywhere clean & tidy.

I thought this trip to Eastborne was a great trip.My Nanny lives down in Eastborne and we went to a very well known pier, you could get refreshing food on the pier such as ice cream and burgers.Very nice food I have to say. There was also a beach right next to it so you could go fishing at the end of the peer and has a very nice view , trust me it is a cool place for everyone you should go there.

The day we went the pier wasn't overly busy there were amusements and places to eat. The blues and jazz bar was very quiet but was a nice place to drink and relax. Apparently the musicians play fri - sun nights.

Great place to visit alone or with other people. Includes great views of the sea while you have fish and chips.

Pros : big open space, fish and chips and ice cream available at entrance, sightseeing bus stop right outside, nightclub, tea room. Lots of benches to sit on.

Cons. Some floor planks look they need nails or replacing.

Okay as piers go I guess, not like Brighton but still a few places to eat and have a drink. They did have cream teas and a jazz singer so if you older I'm sure you would enjoy that.

We haven't been on the pier for years but were quite upset to hear it had gone up in flames.

The way it's been redone is really good and I think a lot better than how it used to be. It's much more consumer friendly and I love that there are loads of picnic tables near the beginning that you can sit on to relax, eat or have a drink. On a sunny warm day they will be lovely to eat your fish and chips or warm doughnuts - both of these shops are at the beginning of the pier.

As we walked around we came across the posh tea rooms which we nipped inside to have a look and found there is a little shop inside which sells some lovely evening handbags - all very reasonably priced!

We thought the price of a cream tea for one at £3.95 was excellent - one scone, strawberry jam, clotted cream and a pot of tea for one - wow, they looked lovely, will return here for one of those soon!

We really enjoyed our walk all around the pier and liked the gold lions - it looks really well maintained now and the views from the pier to the downs and the sea were as fantastic as ever and so beautiful.

This place is iconic of Eastbourne and a real treat to visit. The fact that it's free to come on is fantastic in this day and age and I would heartily recommend the pier to everyone for a visit and if you like shopping there are lots of shops to pop into on the pier too.

Just had a Shearings holiday in Eastbourne and stayed at The Burlington. Our room overlooked the pier and how lovely it was too. The promenade and gardens are immaculate and so too is the pier. The local students were enjoying the pier and beach and respected the area with great interest which was very refreshing to see. A good fish and chip restaurant at the pier entrance which was very popular. Definitely worth a visit. Parking on the promenade is very cheap too.

Eastbourne pier is a great way to get a good view of the seafront and takes you back to your childhood, there's a good ice cream parlour at the start of the pier and as you go further on there is amusements some dating back and are harmless fun there is also tourist shops which sell some good items as well as the normal things you find in a tourist shops, and the pier has places to eat as well a club/eating place worth a visit and remember your childhood memories of holiday

Visited with two children under 5. All enjoyed walking along it, playing in arcades, having a pic nic on the tables while taking in the views.
Nice & relaxed atmosphere.

Down sides:
Poor baby changing facilities (actually no baby changing facilities) And some arcade machines swallowed our money with no support people to assist to retrieve it. Had s very upset 4 yr old :(

Walked the length of the pier on a lovely day. Everything you'd expect is there for a traditional pier but I could not find any real ale served at the bar at the sea end of the pier... What a disappointment.

Another annoyance was one 'sideshow' having a ghastly constantly repeating recording blaring out across the pier. How those working nearby don't go mad I'll never know!

Nice pier to walk and observe but not a beer drinker's destination!
