I went here on a date, It's quite a nice pier, very windy! we had donuts at the kiosk at the front on the left. A few shops, nothing
massively interesting.

Small pier with shops and restaurants. It offers good views of the sea. Nice place to spend a few hours.

The pier is in the final part of a long process of restoration. It is almost there and provides an excellent opportunity to see the best of a traditional pier (when finished even a camera obscura). There are excellent opportunities for eating. Just look at the chandeliers in the cafe. Other places offer snacks and there are some rides there. A small slot machine hall and some varied souvenir shopping. But above all it is the view and feeling of almost being afloat at high tide. Lovely in the sunset, even in October. When leaving try to spot the dounble meaning in the name of the pier.

The Pier used to be cluttered with little kiosks and a large 'gaming' area - this has changed and there are now picnic tables and a few kiosks as well as a nice tea room. A pleasure to stroll around the Pier.

Lovely old fashioned pier. Nice eateries. Small souvenir shops. Plenty of seats to enjoy the views. Its free entry. Toilets are ok. Parking is not too easy to find. Sometimes you can get little boat trips.

Great walk and good tea room. Cool when we were there but it was October! Other than that it was good. Would recommend a visit.

Very nice place. We bought some typical english fish and chips and enjoyed the view. It was not so windy so we stayed there for a couple of hours before going to town.

If in Eastbourne well worth a visit, feeling like you're going back in time with tea room, can stroll whole length and there are other interesting things to see on the pier. It's also free entry which is refreshing as many are chargeable then disappointing.
So glad it's been re-done since 2014 fire.

The sun shone and lots of people enjoyed the pier not just walking but sitting at the picnic tables, eating fish and chips. The sea gulls were always ready for grab any unprotected morsels.

After the unfortunate fire a couple of years ago and a new owner, the pier is now a delight to go on.
All I would suggest it needs,is a take away coffee/sandwich bar just inside the entrance,as the new owner has put a lot of nice picnic tables on the pier and it would be nice to be able to sit and have a coffee taking in the magnificent views.
There is a lovely Victorian tea room,if you wish to eat inside, and I think a little cafe at the far end.also some little trinket shops and a sweetie shop.
The new owner of the pier has done a wonderful job so far, there are still little things to finish off,but it all takes time.Well done !

Lovely pier, personally not interested in the arcade, but perfect for a stroll to the end and back and a sit down if the weather permits.

This is the classic pier experience. Pleasant enough cafe, nice stroll, see the sea. And free of charge.

Quite dated and needs a face-lift. I loved arcades growing up but this venue still has machines from the 1990s and needs some love.

The atmosphere is also quite dull. The only time this place probably has had a hot atmosphere was when it was on fire.

This has been restored to a high standard by a local businessman. It is finished in gold and lions heads which may not be to everyone's taste. However it presumably is reminiscent of a bygone era and worth a walk to the end where there is bracing air and surf together with a clean but uninspiring pub.

had a stroll along the new pier had a cream tea in the quaint tearoom still being painted but will be a good when finished

Lovely area spoilt by drunken 'drop outs' who are unfortunately allowed to congregate and swill alcohol openly under the pier and along the walkways-had one pass foul mouthed comments-what a shame!

A much smaller pier than say Brighton, but it's still nice. Lovely bit of history to visit, a few shops, a cafe and some arcades made it a lovely little stroll.
