Enjoy a stroll along the pier. Great for families and a tasty meal at the end of the pier in the restaurant. Good afternoon cream teas on offer and choice of hot and cold food and drinks too.

Worth a ten minute stroll, no entry fee but not much on the pier other than a couple of souvenir/sweet shops and end of pier bar/ wedding venue!

We know the pier has undergone substantial work since the fire a couple of years ago but there is still a lot to be done, it certainly needs more eating/leisure facilities. Pleasant but nothing to write home about!

Wasn't impressed with the very few machines but at least I didn't get to spend all my money! Wouldn't visit again

A traditional pier with amusement arcade, cafe and night club. Nice views of the coast and sea front

Stayed in Eastbourne for the weekend, and the weather was poor on Friday and everything was closed. Thought the weather was the cause, but actually it is normal opening hours there. Shops, café, fish & chips shut about 5pm (although there looks like a nightclub there late on?)

Pier was ok at first glance until you walked further down, however the new owner, Sheiks Pier, is renovating it and the first part has been done very well with new boarding and painting, the original lamps are still there, some have been "cleaned up" the ones near the front still have some sort of dirty cloth stuck in them, which doesn't look aesthetically pleasing. There is seating which looks new, we sat there on the last day of the Airbourne, great view of the air show, only worry I had, as Mum and Grandmum, was the large gap in the metal safety edging of the pier, but it may have a conservation order on it, but did concern me, when little ones ran near it. Overall, it will be great when its finished.

The memories of a bygone age, like most piers it has seen better days. However this is typical of this very English structure.

The Eastbourne pier is beautiful to walk with your beloved one or family when the sun goes down. You can have an amazing view from it. The tea room could extend their opening time on the pier.

Great work has been done here to recover was was one of Britain's finest piers. There are lovely open areas and increased areas of seating -especially right down at the front of the pier. This is a great asset again for Eastbourne.

After the fire it took time to get the pier up and running and there is still work to do. I know the local don't like the colour scheme but it is the seaside and I think it is fine and certainly has brought the pier up. I liked the pier title (Sheiks Pier) good sense of humour. need to do something to the centre of the pier. In herne Bay they put in beach hut shops which are great.

My wife and I were able to access the whole of the pier with scooters - a rare enjoyment. A complete selection of the usual attractions of shops, arcades, bar and seating, not to mention the views

I had friends visiting from London. We enjoyed watching airbourne from the pier. However I think on occasions like this it may be worth charging a small fee as spectators take the seating benches outside the bar/restaurant at the end of the pier leaving nowhere for customers to sit. On the Thursday we went to have fish and chips which are excellent. Unfortunately we had to witness a staff member being abusive to a customer. He obviously knew the young woman but his language was obscene and his behaviour unprofessional. My friend heard another member of staff reprimand him and thankfully heard his name as 'conner'. I shall be writing a letter of disgust about this staff member. As unfortunately his behaviour has caused me to write this. But other than that, the chip shop is a must. All other staff are polite and friendly. The pub is slightly more expensive for drinks but worth it for the views on a nice day.

Fantastic show been for 3years running now, a great event and the kids love it.
Park and ride at the sovereign centre is perfect. £5 to park and £10 for the bus family of four but it all goes to fund the event.
We will be back again next year!!

Well worth a vist, now fully restored after the fire. Plenty to do for old and young, with a bar, restaurant, Victorian tea rooms, gift shops, glass blowing demonstrations, games machines for those who fancy a little flutter, and if you like, just a pleasant stroll around the pier deck.

After the devastating fire two years ago the new owner has obviously been ploughing a lot of money into working towards bringing the pier back to its former glory. I look forward to seeing it again next time we visit Eastbourne.

Took the in-laws away for a few days. Access to the pier is free and we took advantage of the opportunity. The usual English Seaside attractions/ fair/ rides/ cafe's/ tat shops/ amusement arcades - the "Full Monty". Restaurants, viewing scopes, funnuy phograph opportunities. Like England used to be.

Liked the new wide entrance to the pier with plenty seating/picnic benches. The golden domes are not to everyones liking and a bit OTT. The chandeliers in the tea room are far too showy and look out of place. We couldn't get anything to eat/drink in the café at the end of the pier because the tills were down so there was no access to paying and although there was a limited menu, there were still things on the menu that they could not offer.
