Went for a walk along the pier. It was the first time we had visited it since its reopening after the fire. A lot quieter and not as much to see as there used to be. Lovely tea room and a bar though. Very surprised to see tacky gold painting on the domes. Not the traditional blue which fits in a lot better with Victorian Eastbourne. I do hope however that the new owners are able to restore it back to its former glory.

We thought the revamped pier was in keeping with Eastbourne sea front. Not controversial at all. A lot of time and effort has been put into making the pier good again

A sunny day spent here at the beach was absolutely lovely. Soaked in the sun, had chips by the pier and then had coffee by a roadside cafe. The walk up and down the beach is very relaxing

What a lovely place, Very friendly people. Went on a random day out with my wife and baby.
The fish and chips ( on the pier) was yummy but don't sit inside, instead walk up the pier where benches are provided.
Parking was cheap £4 for the whole day.
Lots of places along the beach to stop for something to eat or drink.
I would definitely go again 100%.

We had tea in the Victorian Tea room on the pier, it was really good and great value indeed, well recommended. We also saw a little glass shop where they make their own little ornaments, very pretty designs and lovely to buy as a gift.

Lovely place to be on a sunny day. Loved it.the pier offers the chance to see Scarborough from s shops view. It does not dissapoint and looks like what a tourism venue should be.. Clean and easy on the eye

A fantastic old fashioned pier, harking back to the Victorian days in which it was built. It has many old shops, including a sweet shop and a tea room, as well as some modern touches, such as a night club and a bar. A section of the pier containing an arcade was sadly destroyed by a fire in 2014, but the section has since been turned into a picnic area - on a clear day there are fantastic views of the seaside and a distant light tower. This is a must - see attraction in Eastbourne.

The pier has had a refurb and is lovely open and inviting. Picknick Tables are down each side but only food bought on the pier can be consumed there. There are a couple of gift shops and a small arcade. There is a bar at the very end which unfortunately shut early at 8.30 which was a little disappointing as we were on holiday and would have liked to have had a drink there. The pier is an inviting place which I would reccommend

Nice little pier. Better build quality than Southend-on-Seas. Just a shame there was not much to do on it. Just some small arcades and tea rooms.

Visited the newly refurbished pier while in Eastbourne for the day....gold everywhere...Shame though that the locals can't fish off the end of the pier anymore as its all fenced off.

Not as attractive as Brighton, obviously, not even quite that of Hastings, one would say this town deserves a better one. Seems that there was in the past and was burnt..
Anyway, it lacks the attractions or shops, but it ia a good place to walk and have a view from the sea. If that is what you expect, not bad.
Careful with the seagulls, they steal your meal!!

Every pier has its unique charm. This one has the traditional slot machines, a nice gift shop selling all kinds of beachy stuff. I mention the gift shop as the lady inside was very helpful and not over pushy. For some reason the lights were not on Wednesday night, and many of the lamps have been smashed and broken. The pier is cute but needs some TLC. The bus stop to Brighton is very close to it, as are the open top sightseeing busses. You can get fish and chips on the pier and drinks, all the usual stuff. Worth a visit especially at sunset.

Following the fire making the pier a large open space is wonderful, however there are signs saying only consume food bought on the pier yet there's nowhere to actually buy food other than the chippy. It's crying out for some mobile hotdog, candyfloss, popcorn and ice cream sellers there's plenty of deck space for those large cart style vendors

A pier is a pier when all is said and done, however I have been on bigger and better piers with larger/more facilities. However it was a pleasant place to have a drink or an ice cream.

The only real pleasure you get from treading the boards on Eastbourne Per is when you turn around at the end and savour the beautiful garden views skirting the promenade

A nice pier, clean, renovated, well maintained, with a number of attractions on it. There are shops at the entrance on the road for fish and chips, donuts and the like, then a large open area with picnic tables for you to sit and rest. Then half way down are more shops selling trinkets and souvenirs, as well as the first of three small arcades. Further down are the Victorian Tearooms, and then at the end of the pier is a night club. Always wondered whether that was a good idea, as surely some people stagger out after one too many and go straight over the side! Still, would sober them up I suppose.

We didn't have anything to eat in the tearooms as it had finished serving when we arrived, but it did look very nice and I would like to go back to try it another time. From what we saw through the window it looked clean and nicely decorated, with a good choice of food.

We did play in the arcades though, which were small but fun, the usual array of coin pushing machines, etc, but all automated, no staff in any of them, but all the machines were working and looked well maintained.

Also in the picnic area were some rides for youngsters, a pound a go as is normal these days, but again all working. Plus it was nice to see the pier being kept clean, making it a pleasant and popular place to be. I think they have done very well with the new pier design, and it works well.

Pretty unexciting,a lot more could be done to attract visitors.Other than a couple of eating places and slot machines there is very little to keep people on the pier.A shame because there are few piers left nowadays and I'm sure if there was more attractions then more people would visit?

I'm pleased to see this re-opened and the burnt down spot now turned into a large seating / viewing area. The once large arcade now split into two much smaller arcades, many businesses and games lost. Past the tea rooms which looked like it could use with a fresh touch of paint and the chandallers looked out of place for the height of the roof. it's still great to walk along which is all we usually would use it for but certain touch ups are needed and why are large rubbish bins kept in view by the entrance even when not on the pier you can clearly see them on the end nearest the road, not good! Also what would have been a quite walk along the end of the pier was interupted by a large transportation vechicle moving kegs and at times nothing in. why cant this be done first thing in the day not late in the afternoons? im happy its back open but other than fixing by removing the arcade that burnt down a lot of work is needed to breath new life into this once great spot. no fishing either, would explain why so many are by the beach with a rod in hand!
