It's nice to see the pier back up and running after the recent fire. Let's face it everybody loves the pier!

It's not has long has I remember it due to losing the end in a storm but it's a well perserved bit of history and still has the main attractions you would expect on a pier

Well done and how great the pier looks after the fire but there could be some better shops and more attractions. Some pillock thought it would be a good idea to parade his ridiculous looking gold car on the entrance of the pier like it was his private driveway on Good Friday, getting in everyones way but hey I suppose he owns the pier so he can do as he chooses! Lovely to have a stroll along and sit down watching the world go by.

There's not much going on in this pier but there is a large tea room in the centre of it. We had cream tea which was nice and value for money. There are a lot of benches to sit on, which is great for those warm sunny days. There's no arcade. But there is a club!

Yo yo, I tell you what, the pier and its surrounding area is a great day out, for jelly men and offspring!

Park up the car on eastbourne seafront, stroll along, take in the views of the cliffs, the sea, the Palm trees... Stop off for ice cream, wander into the hotels for some drinks, board games.

Then head up onto the pier and ponce along, taking it easy...

I've loved it... Loved taking my boy william on it, he's two weeks old and slept the whole time but that's what offspring are about, sleeping, poopin, throwing up and crying and being handsome.

Great views along the pier looking back at the promenade, and nice views out to sea.

I really enjoy eastbourne... Living in seaford, it's nice and quiet, good schools, perfect for family life...

Then a 10 minute drive one way and you're in brighton for all the city life when you fancy it.

A 10 minute drive the other way and you're in eastbourne, which is seriously stunning.

Add on the fact London is an hour away for all the theatre shows and France is on the doorstep.

Add it altogether, and of all the places I've travelled, no where quite beats home.

So yeah, eastbourne pier has reminded me of just how sweet life is with my offspring.

Peace and love.

I like to walk round the pier as part of my daily exercise. Its free to go round which is a bonus. There are a couple of shops on there, small gifts and a glass ornament maker. A lovely little tea room of the traditional type. The building at the end is a night club and bar. There is a small kiosk at the back of it.Up till recently there was a fishing shop and place for fishing off but that has been stopped due to health and safety reasons!! Pity as there was always someone fishing off there and it was somewhat relaxing to stop and watch them. There is a large open space on there which had an amusement arcade on at one time but unfortunately burnt down a couple of years ago. The pier has been well repaired and is now waiting for the owner and the council to decide what to put on there. It is a well maintained pier, very traditional style, and is always very clean. Not a lot of things on there for children at the moment, maybe something will be done about that at a later date hopefully

At long last, what a good job, back to its former glory. Lots of open space but could improve the pier by making it more interesting not only for the locals but for visitors.Should have maybe a band in the summers with more seating for people to enjoy, eating their ice cream or bag of chips, i.e a rag time band to listen to.etc.. The Victorian Tea Rooms have been updated and you can enjoy your tea or coffee or maybe a lit snack inside as you enjoy the wonderful sea views from the pier. With a little bit more interesting things to draw in the crowds the pier could become a big asset to Eastbourne.

A proper English Pier! Cold, windy, vulgar and great fun! Well worth a visit, all sorts of attractions ( most of which are after your money for very little return) There's a music tape playing near the entrance that makes it seem rather surreal, probably best out of season when you've got it all to yourself! Don't miss it, but don't spend any money on it! Long may it last1

we walked on this in March this year and it was very busy with people getting it ready for the summer with all the painters on here. In the summer it will be a lovely place to just wander round the café was open on there and it had lovely views to just sit and look about

Eastbourne is like an elderly lady, teetering along and holding on to past glories and hoping that tourist revenues will return in abundance. In fact I would be quite proud if I lived here because this town has held on to its dignity with brightly painted hotels, neat gardens and an immaculate seafront. And the pier is the gemstone. It is clean, well maintained and a real pleasure to look at. And to stroll to the end of a pier on a sunny day is a true English delight. There are a few shops and an amazing tea room that has probably been furnished by an Istanbul wedding planner. Never have I seen such enormous chandeliers in an English tea room. Still, the sandwiches were fresh, excellent cakes and a pot of tea made with loose leaf good quality tea. As I left, workmen were busy painting the railings and varnishing picnic tables and the whole pier looked resplendent. So I will forgive the indulgence of the owner who has called it Sheikh' s Pier and praise him for giving this lovely old bit of Victorian architecture the love it deserves.

It's by far the most marking landscape in Eastbourne for me. The isght of it from afar is beautiful, as well as the view from it. A relaxed walk through the pier, listening the sounds of the sea is a great activity both in the morning and at night, especially in good company.

Located near the centre of the promenade and close to the shopping centre this is a traditional pier. There are shops and cafe at the entrance to the pier and some on the pier itself. Being March and early in the year however very few of these were open

View of the English channel from the pier is so beautiful and serene. Recommended to take a walk in the morning to connect to nature and your self.

I grew up in Eastbourne and this was my first visit to the pier since the fire a couple of years back. I'm impressed that they've rebuilt the main body of the pier allowing you to walk to the end, this rarely happens nowadays when things go wrong! You can still get nice views of the sea front and out towards beachy head, the shops / tea rooms on the pier itself were quiet or not open but we did visit in March early on a Saturday so out of season! It's worth a walk to the end for the views alone

Terrific to be able to walk on the pier again. The restoration has been done really well not complete yet but the tasteful stores, glass blowing, and the tea room complete with chandelier are well worth a visit. Interesting to see how it all turns out when completed

A nice solid pier which I did feel very safe on (had to mention as I don't usually), however due to time of the year there was very little open, a good size pier which is well kept, you must go down and take pictures of beautiful Eastbourne from a distance.

Never been to Eastbourne before ,and knew that THE PIER HAD RECENTLY HAD A FIRE.A great job has already been done and the pier was in splendid condition with fresh blue and gold paint. The weather was lovely and out of the wind some people were actually sunbathing!!
It took me back to my young days in Skegness.

A great attraction.

Although the season had not started there were businesses open & trading. The tea rooms were busy as was the chippy. Although there is a large space where the fire happened it is a good space that could be redeveloped. A brisk walk to the end of The Pier resulted in some spectacular views and photo opportunities. Well worth the visit just for this.

The Pier is beautiful, at the moment being gotten ready for the season to begin, met the owner late at night who was having a look about, he came over and had a chat about the pier and what he was doing, keep up the good work, a lovely place to see.

Lovely classic pier. Not a lot open as it was early and winter. I guess that there would be more to do in the summer.

The Pier has been rebuilt and looks very lovely it has some shops as well as a tea room. Although I visited at the beginning of March there were a few days when it was so sunny and warm that one could enjoy to stroll over the pier.

The whole area is enjoyable to walk in. The pier is quite large, with shops and cafe, otherwise a traditional pier.
