Family day out for my birthday ages from 5 to 51 and everyone had a fantastic day, we were able to hand feed Wallabies, lambs, cows, reindeer, lamas, and horses. The staff were very friendly and there was always something going on in the way of shows. Our grandson loved the death slide and the pillow jumps so did the adults, the water slide was scary but good for a laugh. Prices for food and drinks were very reasonable and there were benches and areas to sit and eat a picnic. We will definitely be back had an amazing day.

Went to Knockhatch on Tuesday with my wife and two children (1&3 YO). We all really enjoyed it particularly animal encounters with Ben and Owen. Both were very knowledgeable and were able to answer all of the questions that were put to them and made the whole experience educational and enjoyable.

Thank you to Ben, Owen and the rest of the knockhatch team for a great day out.

Had a nice day with the grandchildren....they enjoyed all the activities....but ..there policy is only bought food allowed in the soft play area barn no own food can be consumed...this would be ok...but it's so slow to order ....the queue was long ...waited for 30 minutes...one person was taking orders and money ...several other staff were cooking ....we waited an hour ...too long ..then the order was messed up and we had to wait another half an hour for the meal that had been forgotten...(a toasted cheese and tomato sandwich) .
It was ok for the children whom went and played ...very frustrating for us adults...will definitely take a packed lunch and eat outside ..( even in the rain)..shame...

Went there today with our twins who are almost 10. I would definitely say that they had a brilliant time (it also helped that it was fairly quiet - no doubt because of the wonderful grey skys - it looked like it was going to rain all day but thankfully didnt). The place isn't very big so great for young children. It has quite a lot to do and see and the animals are lovely and look very well kept. In my opinion I would say it is a fantastic place for kids up to the age of 10 but I know if I had of taken my eldest daughter who is 12 I think she would have been bored.

It cost us nearly £40 for a family of 4 which I didnt think was too bad and you can do stuff for free inside but there are extra charges so be aware, maybe check the website before you go what extras you will have to pay for.

All in all a good day out but just one small criticism, the food area where you can order food was pretty dirty, I think they could do with some extra staff on to keep on top of clearing the tables and the floors.

We've been here a few times now and great fun, it's a shame the big park isn't open on the cheaper days as kids love it but good value for money and good fun.

What a fantastic find!

Party of 8 for my sons 6th birthday party - brilliant time had by all.

Being a warmer time of year the ski centre was relatively quiet which was made was nice for our party of 5/6 year olds.

Met half an hour before the start of the party to get everyone signed in and check they all had gloves etc. All had a glass of squash (included), then happily made their way up the slope with our host who was very friendly and engaged with all of the children.

An hour of fun flying down the slopes (one dry slope and then later onto a wet split slope which was especially fun!). Everyone had a fantastic time and couldn't get enough of the fun on offer.

Then went on to have food inside the cafe area (optional). They provided chicken nuggets, chips, margarita pizzas, garlic bread and individual tubs of ice cream for pudding. (You need to bring your own cake but I always think it's nice to choose your own anyway so not a problem for us). Party bags were also provided which contained good quality items which was a good to see.

Amazing value and outstanding customer service. The staff were so friendly and helpful at all times which was greatly appreciated. Good levels of customer service makes such a difference, especially at a children's party!

So pleased with our party and will definitely return!

Really good value for money, they often add new attractions too. Definetly suits all ages, so much to do. Rowing boats are always good fun, the wave runner is amazing, farm is good, ice skating isn't great but was worth a go, just wouldn't pay for that again as it's an extra in the winter months. The jumping pillows are a favourite with my 10 and 12 year old too, indoor soft play is also good. Park includes a zip wires and a maze which are great. Easily accessible for all and so many things to do for the entrance fee it's brilliant! Food and drink isn't too badly prices either!

Loads to do, both indoors and out, my son really enjoyed himself and his pals seemed to have great time as well. Prices for refreshments are very reasonable. Good value for money.

We have been to Knockhatch Adventure park before and they do seem to be improving and increasing the activities available.
We used Tesco clubcard Days Out vouchers, which is a really good way of using these up.The grand-daughters (aged 3 and 2 and a bit) always love Froggies soft-play and have become quite daring in going down the long slide, which is a long way down looking from the top!
The animal population has increased with the wallabies being very cute, there were lambs, goats, deer, ducks/geese, rabbits, a horse, chickens and more.
We enjoyed the owl display, which features at 1.30 and 3.00 each day, which was interesting and informative. The owls fly to get the food so it doesn't feel like a display that is alien to their nature.
The children liked the bouncy cushion and the Quadripillar (a tractor ride round part of the park).
I think this park is aimed at the younger age group, from tots up to young teens. If you are expecting thriller rides then this isn't it but it is a lovely adventure park for a family day out at a fairly reasonable price on green and yellow days.

We had our son's 7th birthday party at Knockshatch and it was a superb day out for all the children ......and adults. Adventure, very well cared for animals, a great team who are just lovely with the kids and VERY good value for money. It's not often you can go to a kids adventure park and not feel like you're being fleeced at every opportunity....

The animals weren't great and the rides are a bit dated and lack quality. The best thing is the birds of prey and the small animal show the staff put on. The worst thing is the pricing. How can it cost more for a child to enter than an adult.

Had a fabulous family day out at Knockhatch Adventure Park on Sunday. Started in the petting farm and we all really enjoyed feeding the animals and what a wide range there is, better than most of the farm based visitor attractions in the area. After a relaxing, although a little noisy, lunch in Froggies (and a bit of soft play, the slide is super fast!) we headed over the bridge to the adventure park, very pleasantly surprised at how much there was to do here, loads for the whole family, a truly superb day out. The best family visitor attraction in the area without doubt and good value too. We will be back.

Good place to visit with young children, but do not try & feed your children a packed lunch in the soft play centre.... Even if you have ordered food & drink for yourself as the staff act like 'food police' & promptly come & tell you to put it away.... Very annoying if like my child your children have special dietary needs!!!!
Soft play nice, although very dirty when I last visited (not in school holidays)
The animal sections outside are really fab!
Bouncy pillows great fun!!
All round a nice day out!

Fun day out, soft play is really good for kids, staff friendly and cheap entrance. Shame everything wasn't open but I guess that's down to it not being busy during the week plus not peak season.

We took two young children. They loved seeing all the animals and the interactive reptile/bug experience was great.
Then after lunch they played in the play areas and went on the water rides and bouncy castles.
There is something for everyone!

I came here today with low expectations purely due to the low price from the website of £1.99 per adult and my under two year old being free. We decided to travel the two hours from Essex to see if it would be worth a visit in the summer months. Well I thought it was brilliant, we chose the wrong day really as most of the attractions open tomorrow for the season but it didn't matter. The Farm was food my boy was impressed, the outdoor play barn went down a treat and also the mini diggers. The indoor soft play area was better than the usual ones we visit and was kept clean. For the price you cannot go wrong. Staff were lovely, and it's nice to see so many young people working there and taking an interest in outdoors work. We can't wait to go back when the weather gets better to experience the whole place. Great value for money, and outdoorsy fun!

First time visit with my 10 year old daughter, as we were looking for an active fun filled day out - we were attracted by the reasonable entry price, and reasonable additional price online for go-karts (petrol, all weather track) and laser quest.

It was a great day for us, I went with moderate expectations and was pleased with the day, although of course disappointing for the things that aren't open this time of year - esp an outdoor adventure playground (but they were fixing it up a bit/refreshing the timber). Still it's a foundational thing, and would have been good to have if they could manage the maintenance eg item by item.

I was happy to pay today, but would have been more reserved with more kids, and think the items are slightly overpriced on top of the park entrance fee : but can understand that the economics of the park might be catch 22 - not q good enough to get lots of custom, which means they have to keep prices high and some of the areas a bit tired.
We spent 3x 2x £3.95 for go karting, 2x 2x £2.50 for laser quest (maybe £3), 1x £3 for bungee trampoline and then got for free/included : Crazy golf, runaway mine train, inflatable large pillow thingy, and the play barn. Oh and the petting zoo including lovely wallabies and owls, meercats etc
The runaway mine train simulator was bit of an 80's relic : although the visuals were quite good/better, the sound was pretty bad. but overall ok to try : glad it was free else I would have been annoyed if I have had to pay extra for that.

Cafe was a bit mental, and a bit disaapointing that the other food venues weren't open eg burgers/chips. Or at least the kiosk place to mean you could get basics without the main food queues. Seeing the reviews online here now, I'm glad I didn't rely on buying lunch - Jamie Oliver would go mental at the relatively poor provision of food (no excuse management!!! even budget.... !!!)

Overall, I think for young kids it's a great place, and for older kids who would enjoy (and you can afford) the main activities like go-karts : I think it's great. We loved our day.

Oh, one other annoyance was a massive time gap between the morning and the afternoon laser quest sessions : we had to really kill time between 11/1130 and 1500 - which a cynic might think is a management decision to milk more money out of you in between! Would be nice if this could be slightly reduced.

Top thanks to the go karting steward and the main reception girl. Both top and very nice.

New to skiing. Only seen snow in my garden :) but my girlfriend insisted I learn to ski. So along we went.
I wasn't sure what to expect, I mean it's a big carpet on a hill and in the UK!!!
Paid £70 for 4 x 1hr group lessons spread over a month.
Very nervous as it's such an alien thing to do. And the hill (150m) looked huge :)
The instructors, (Alex and Quill) are AMAZING . Really patient, engaging, kind, and just teach well and with gentle authority.
I rarely (like everyone i guess) give face to face feedback, but I was compelled to inform the owner how good his staff were. Just an amazing experience, and a great price.
After 2 lessons I can now use the button lift (essential :), snow plough, fall over, snow plough turn, and generally get down the slope in a sort of controlled manner.
Staff in the fitting area, where you put on skis and boots etc, are firm but fair. They need to be with skis being swung about by amatuers.
Staff in shop are friendly and well presented.
Boss man (Stephen I think!?) is in control.
Quill was just the kindest and most reassuring person ever.
Loved it.
Have a go . Have fun. Fall over. Smile. Repeat.

I took my class here on a school trip and it was a fantastic day! David and Brett were brilliant and they could not have done enough for us. Brilliant with the children and myself and my helpers. They made the whole experience very exciting for us and it was smoothly run. They gave us our own room for the day to keep our things and also eat our lunch in. They answered the children's questions really well and kept them under control behaviour wise. They really did make our trip. The quadpillar rides were great fun and I even had a go myself. The meet and greet of animals was very good and a great experience for the children, this was also the case for the animal show in the barn. A great day out for us all.
