Community Railway Experiences in Polegate

Polegate and District Model Engineering Club brings joy to visitors of all ages with its charming miniature railway, open most Sundays between 2pm and 5pm (weather permitting). Located in Polegate Oaks Recreation Ground, the club offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where families, local groups, and train fans can enjoy unlimited rides.

With a variety of working locomotives and enthusiastic volunteers on hand, each visit offers something different. Special events throughout the year — including festive and themed rides — add even more excitement.

There’s no charge to ride, but donations are always welcomed to support maintenance and future improvements.
