We visited for lunch on 1 May 2018. My starter was Prawn Salad which was beautifully presented with a wrap around cucumber. My main was spaghetti Bolognese which I really enjoyed. My score 9 out of 10.
My friend had funghi trifolati (mushrooms) followed by pizza margherita with one piece of fresh basil. He scored his meal a 8 out of 10.Cost £13-30 each.
This offer is available in the evening bar Fri & Sat.

This is the second time we have visited this restaurant and I can’t recommend it enough.
We went on a Sunday night thinking it would be quiet, but it wasn’t so always book.We had a three course meal which we just couldn’t fault, all cooked to perfection and the tastes were amazing.
All the waiters were very attentive, service was quick and it’s nice to look at the photos on the wall on people that have visited, Ed Sheeran being one of them.Fantastic.

This restaurant is owned by the same person as the one next door, but has a more 'classy feel'. The waiters and waitresses are smart, attentive and friendly, and their is a wide range of meals to select from. Vegetables are served separately (included in the price). The food is tasty and well presented, and a limited range of desserts is welcome. The 'carne' dishes using pork and veal, not always found in Italian restaurants here, are especially worth having.

We booked at table for 5 (2 adults, 3 children). The restaurant has a decor we all liked. Not the old fashioned UK copy of an Italian with Chianti bottles everywhere and italian flags and not the chain restaurant Italian with rather austere decor. The staff were friendly and polite. The food was just great with the adults and children alike happy. Everything was perfect. Thanks.

I have always recommended this restaurant to friends and family and it is a great place to go before and after the theatre. The night that we went the waiter who greeted our party seemed to think that we had not booked - which we had! He then was not very nice and seemed to be not at all happy. Patience was lacking and no input from him. He spent the whole time berating the other waiting staff and really did not do a lot for the ambience of the establishment.
However the food was excellent and very reasonably priced and I will still visit (in the past service has been exceptional and very friendly)

My wife has used this restaurant many times with friends and has the majority of times had an enjoyable experience. In the past year we have visited as a family/couple and to be fair, the £10.95 menu is good value and the sea bass comes recommend. The drinks, as with a lot of restaurants, are on the pricey side, but that seems to be the norm these days. However, on two occasions I have found the gents toilets to be in a disgusting condition, and on one of these occasions I was physically sick due to the state of the gents. Having to pay for a meal which you subsequently bring up due to the condition of the restaurant toilets was not a nice experience. When I reported this to a female member of staff she shrugged her shoulders as if to say "what do you want me to do about it". There was no offer to take my meal off the bill or apology. On our last visit, my disabled wife also found the disabled toilet to be in an unclean condition. In a nutshell, a pleasant restaurant and nice food, let down by the state of it's toilet facilities.

This restaurant was recommended to us, so we decided to visit. The gentleman who took our order obviously got the order wrong and it appeared mixed up with another table number. We had to wait SUCH a long time for our food. To begin with I was giving them the benefit of the doubt as it said that the bread was freshly baked. No one seemed to make eye contact for me to ask where the food was. Eventually, I asked where our food was. There was a little conflab and obviously the order had not been received in the kitchen. Eventually, the focaccia arrived, but I have never seen focaccia flat and almost pizza base-like. Usually it is sponge and cake like. I asked if this was focaccia and he said it was focaccia from the north! I must check that. Anyway, he did apologise for the order mistake and said we didn't have to pay for the bread. I was just disappointed in the attitude of the staff, they were barely apologetic and we did wait for a LONG time for our food. When the food did at last arrive, it was very nice, but even when we left, no one took the trouble to really apologise. When the bill arrived, the waitress keyed in £2 more than the bill, good job I noticed! She did give me £2 coin back. I doubt we will return which is a shame as the food was good (apart from the 'foccacia').

We were staying in Eastbourne over night for the first time so had no idea where to eat that evening.
We were staying at The Sheldon B&B who recommended various restaurants in the local area walking distance from them. They provided a passport which had a map & various restaurants to chose from. Such a good idea.
We chose this restaurant as it catered for coeliacs so my husband could have a gluten free meal.
The restaurant was very busy but we were given a cozy table for 2. We hadn’t booked so we were lucky to get a table. The staff were very pleasant, cheerful & efficient. The atmosphere was excellent - a really happy buzzy feel!
Our food was very tasty. I had sea bass which was beautifully cooked & flavoursome & my husband had a gluten pizza which he enjoyed! Our starters were similar - mine was fresh mozzarella & tomato & he had the addition of avocado. Italy on a plate! Then ice cream for pudding! It reminded us of our recent stay in Sicily.
It was just the ticket! Lovely evening & excellent food! We thoroughly recommend this restaurant & we will return!
Thank you - see you soon!

Visited for a family birthday lunch. Food was excellent, service very attentive and good value for money too. Prawn salad starters were tasty and beautifully presented. Pasta and pizza dishes were tasty and generous potions and ice cream profiteroles and tiramisu also great. Huge choice, including vegetarian dishes. A very popular spot so best to book. You will not be disappointed.

I have been visiting La lovancda their sister restaurant for years and have gone for every birthday in our family but we tried this place a few years back for a change and it's cheaper.I find their two course at under £11 and three course under £13 by far unbeatable for the value. It offers a choice of four starters and many mains aswell as puddings. I believe this is not available on Fridays and Saturdays but best to check. There are plenty of other freshly cooked choices on their ala carte menu...soooo many!
Their pollo ala milanese is exceptional and for a while I couldn't get past ordering it as it was too good, but now I have ventured onto other items. Their pizzas are made fresh and my frineds who went vegan over a year ago now visit regularly as they offer vegan cheese for their pizzas and they do the most A MAZ ING choc fudge cake with vegan ice cream.....the kids love it !!!!!They also have many other vegan choices and their complimentary foccacia is made with olive oil.
The service is always good polite and prompt. Luca the owner is always welcoming and greets customers with an italian kiss...thankfully not a french kiss..LOL!!Do try it here, you won't be disappointed.

The food was really good for the price; they do a selected menu of 3 courses for £13 (other than Friday and Saturday evenings), which was great value for money. The waiters and waitresses were lovely, funny and very quick. Our pizza and bolognaise were very nice. We were pleasantly surprised with our experience!

I have been to this restaurant more than 5 times, sometimes with family, as a couple and with work colleagues. I am gluten free and they cater for me very well, I have multiple choices on the menu and this is rare. They are always very busy. The prices are reasonable. The service is fast but attentive. I would recommend this restaurant for most occasions.

Went in for lunch with friends it was very busy and very noisy, I had the set menu garlic mushrooms to start which were ok but would have been nice to have had some bread with the mushrooms, next course i had lasagne which was very stodgy dried up and very little meat in it . On a positive note the staff were very friendly and the price was ok but unfortunately there are better Italian restaurants not to far away from here

Went to have a nice dinner with my partner after reading very good reviews. I don’t think I would go back. It was very loud, no privacy and not a place to go if you’re expecting to converse with your company. We were rushed out after our meal to make way for new customers. After we ordered, the waiter did not come back to our table. Couldn’t even get a second drink. Food was good, but not worth it.

Just spent three days in Eastbourne and fancied somewhere nice to eat that wasn;t a pub.Very pleased with our choice of Pomodor e Mozzarella. My husband had 3 course set menu and I had 2 course set menu. It was a a Wednesday evening and it was very busy(we hadn't booked), in spite of this the service was quick and friendly, and most importantly the food was very good, as was the bottle of wine. The young lady that brought us the billn was exceptionally pleasant. When we are back in Eastbourne this will be our first nights dining.

We had the fixed price for 2 courses menu. Garlic mushrooms and soup for starters, both delicious. Spag Bol and veggie pizza for mains. Spag Bol was good. Veggie pizza had sun dried tomatoes and goats cheese, the base was nice and light. Good service.

We decided to try this restaurant as my brother-in-law had come to visit and that was a great choice.
We hadn't booked but hoped that since we were there about 3 pm on a Saturday there would be spare tables. Luckily there were! For starters, my husband had the mussels with tomato sauce, I had the mussels with white wine sauce and my brother-in-law had the bruschetta. For main my husand had the penne alla pizzaiola, I had the tagliatelle mare e monti and my brother-in-law had the veal vitello. We were all very impressed with the quality and the portions were huge. Sadly we didn't have room for dessert although we were sorely tempted.
My brother-in-law was a chef and lived in Italy for a while, and he said this was the best Italian meal he has had in the UK. He has already requested we go there the next time he visits us in Eastbourne. Many thanks to all of the staff, particularly the chefs, for a lovely meal. We'll definitely be back.

We have been coming to ‘pomodoros’ since it first opened and can say honestly we have always had a great meal. The two / three course special menu is fantastic value with plenty of options. Staff are always attentive and the service is always excellent. The quality of food is always great. This all sounds too good to be true but it is all true. Try for yourself you will not be disappointed. I was reluctant to post this as I wanted to keep this place as our secret but that’s crazy as the number of people dining on any Saturday evening proves.
