Recommend - good food delivered very quickly. Old fashioned Italian restaurant - very buzzy and lots of families and children - you could have forgotten you were in Eastbourne. They offer 10% student discount which my student daughter took advantage of (given on whole bill).

Usually go to Locanda which I still love but this sister eaterie is a cheaper alternative. I particularly love the three course sunday to Thursday set menu for £12.90 I cannot get past having the prawn cocktail, pollo ala Milanese and ice cream. (although I prefer their panna cotta but that's not on set.) I usually have different meals but here this is devine. Their pasta is perfectly al dente and the simple tomato sauce is delicious.
Its not as decadent as Locanda and you can eat quickly if you want but you are not rushed. I love Luca who owns both places and he is such a gent and always very welcoming. My kids love it here and try the veggie lasagne or the melanzane which is classed as a starter but is huge and if not having the set we have this ..goyjus

We ate here over the Airborne Air show weekend. The restaurant was absolutely rammed. The staff worked so hard to ensure orders were fulfilled and it was exhausting to watch them! The food was divine, hot and freshly cooked, the staff, although so busy, took the time to be attentive, professional and never lost their sense of humour. Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Extensive menu, quality food including children's menu. Great service, although one girl was quite miserable with a number of customers(!) Recommended - tasty, especially the pizza!

My partner and I ate here for the first time during Airbourne. It was only a 5 minute walk from our hotel. It was very busy but the waiter was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble. My partner ordered ravioli con funghi (mushroom ravioli). I had risotto. Both meals were delicious. All I could hear from my partner was mmmm and woowwww. He said it was the best meal he's ever eaten in a restaurant. I enjoyed mine too. We will definitely return next year

Our party of six eat here during the busy Airbourne weekend. Our table was ready at the reserved time. Food was good and staff quite attentive despite being rushed off their feet!
My only criticism would be the menu, far too many dishes.
Would happily return.

This was recommended to us by a friend and we were not disappointed. The food was very good with a great choice. In particular the desserts we had - chocolate mouse and the Piedmont cream caramel were fantastic.

Having family visiting to watch the fantastic flying displays on the seafront I decided that cooking for 10 was not an option so I booked a table at pomodoro e mozzarella. On the day I asked if we could bring the booking forward one hour as we had three children with us, this was done with any problem.
When we arrived at 6pm we were promptly shown to a table down stairs, the restaurant was heaving with happy dinners. The waiter brought over menus and a jug of iced water which was very welcome after a day in the sun.We ordered drinks first and then food, we ordered 3 bambino meals, 3 starters and 6 mains, for the children and adults not having starters the waiter asked when would we the the meals, altogether , we asked for the children's meals with the starters. The food arrived in good time especially as it was so busy. The food was piping hot and well presented, you could tell it was freshly cooked, starters and kids meals finished the mains arrived, all freshly cooked and very tasty.
All finished and the bill arrived ouch? NO it was very reasonable and with every penny and the £20 tip.If you have a large group (or just a couple) this is a must place to go.
We will go again.Thank to all the staff who made our experience so good.

Went here on two occasions during a three day trip, that's how delicious the food is here! Had tagliatelle with chicken and mushrooms and spaghetti the next. Unfortunately didn't have the pizza but that is apparently that's they are known for

We went yesterday night for a birthday party and was a very good idea, we ate pizza and many type of pasta, everything was absolutely gorgeous. pizza is a proper northern Italian one, different from the Neapolitan but very very good. Pasta was really tasty and the wine delicious. They are all very friendly and kind, the service is fast and accurate. We will come back for sure.

Visiting the area, we stopped for dinner to this restaurant by pure chance and did not regret it one minute. The atmosphere is "molto Italiano", as is the cooking and the staff. There is a great choice of food and therefore, something for every taste, age and purse. It is a very busy and restaurant from 7pm and I, therefore, would recommended booking a table before going

Much more a pizza restaurant that its sister restaurant next door and less fancy. But that is its enjoyment. Great value and lots of choice. Plenty going on around you but peaceful enough to enjoy your meal. Also great service here and so friendly.
Worth a visit.

Late Birthday dinner arranged by my wife. Party of 4 - our 8 year old Grandson virtually lives on Spaghetti Bolognese so it has to be Italian !
For the main we had Scaloppina all Milanese - which was excellent, 2 x Tagliatelle del Vittorio - my daughters 'go to' meal that superb, and, Spaghetti Bolognese - which my grandson rated as 3rd best ever (this behind a couple of restaurants in Italy that we visited last year). For dessert we had the Tiramisu - very pretty dish but would have preferred a bit more 'booze' !, Coppa Erica that excellent and the Gelato Misto - which also very good. Very reasonable prices, excellent staff who very attentive and nice chat with the owner when we left. We are going to try their sister restaurant 'La Locanda del Luca' next week for another Birthday so will be interesting to compare the two.

Classic Italian place - nice restaurant with a proper oven for baking pizzas. The quattro stagioni and calzone we had were delicious. Perfect place for affordable family lunch or dinner.

wow - what a find ! we had an hour to kill before going to the theatre and were advised by the box office staff that just down the road were a couple of good italian restaurants which also gave 10 per cent discount for theatre goers - we were so pleased we chose this place - the food was absolutely to die for - we had two great sized starters - the mussels were by far the best we have ever tasted at any restaurant and the parma ham/melon was just as delicious - we shared a pizza for the main course - proper authentic italian pizza which tasted great - service was very friendly and attentive and i can't wait to go back again

This is the sister restaurant of Lo Conda del Duca. They share the same kitchen and the food is still fabulous. I had the pasta in cream sauce with mushrooms and the Aubergine for starter and was thrilled. This is a very noisy and busy place compared to the more quite del Duca.
