When my parents first moved to Eastbourne the first place we needed to find, before all the furniture arrived, was somewhere close by to eat that was reasonably priced.
We all wearily stumbled into Pomodora e Mozzarella but were instantly uplifted by the bustling vibration of both staff and customers.
Their amazing value for money menus ( THREE COURSE SET MENU £11.75 or TWO COURSE £10.50 both available Sunday - Thursday) have consistently delivered fresh and delicious food to our table nearly every week since for over ten years!
We also much appreciate their gluten free options.
Our decade of accolade to this wonderful restaurant!Well done “molte grazie” and here's to 10 more!

We enjoyed lunch here over Easter. This is a lovely family run restaurant with a friendly atmosphere and great staff. Our lunch was really tasty and beautifully presented. The place was practically full with lots of families, glad we chose here instead of one of the usual chain restaurants.

We went here for my daughter's 3rd birthday based on a recommendation on how family friendly it was - and we had a brilliant time. Great food - kids food out quickly, lovely wine and brilliant service. We will be back!

I can only recommend it to others.

A lovely bustling, busy Italian restaurant where the staff were friendly and helpful. They also offer a gluten free menu which automatically puts them up in my estimation! That aside, the choice was huge, the quality of the service was excellent and the food was very good, arriving exactly as described on the menu.
We would certainly return if in Eastbourne.

Very busy on Good friday night but coped well. Food very good. My partner said the sea bass with chilli and ginger excellent. I had caprese to start and then the pork medallions. To finish we had cheese and honey with pear which were first class. Atmosphere lively and buzzing.

We regularly use this restaurant, particularly when we take the grandchildren out for a meal. It is large and airy, has a proper pizza oven and does very good pizza and other Italian food. There is a good deal for children with a choice of main course and desert with a fizzy drink.

Our family regularly eats at Pomodoro e Mozzarella because the staff are friendly and fun, the food is excellent and inexpensive and some of our family travel from London just to take advantage of their wide-ranging gluten-free menu. This restaurant is ideal for birthday celebrations (staff will produce a cake if asked and sing "Happy Birhday" to you) and large gatherings. It is also very good for smaller, more intimate dinners and lunches. Excellent for Eastbourne's theatres (whether pre-show or after-show).

Always a friendly and relaxed atmosphere at the restaurant. A good venue for young families as well as couples on a budget. The quality of the food is excellent and varied - always freshly cooked - and the staff are cheerful and helpful. Definitely worth a visit especially if it's your birthday - singing Italian waiters at no extra charge!

Have been here several times, every time is very good. The food is always excellent, whatever I have had from the menu was just as good. The staff have always been polite and provided a good service. The mussels starter or the Parma ham with melon starter are very good. Tiramisu melts in your mouth for dessert. Would always go back.

Very good Italian food within 10 mins walk of theatres. Good for a pre theatre dinner, good choice of menu and buzzy atmosphere. Value for money and pleasant service.

We chose Pomodoro e Mozzarella for a bite to eat before heading to see Singin' in the Rain at the Congress Theatre. It was a good decision! The staff are attentive and many appear to be Italian, which is always a good sign. I had a gorgeous margherita pizza, cooked to perfection in the open kitchen's stonebake and a side of delicious french fries. My other half had the chicken with mozzarella and ham, which he too loved. With a glass of wine and a diet coke, the bill came to just over £30; great value for the quality of the food and the service we received. Great variety of choice on the menu and some good set menus, too. Couldn't fault it!

Been here twice both for work do's. On both occasions we were sat downstairs as we had around 6-8 people each time, but the downstairs area was quite chilly. On the second occasion we were originally sat upstairs but the waiter said they had a party of 8 who requested a round table so asked us to move with the promise of a lemonchello after our meal which we never got.
The food was good on both occasions however after having the carbonara, i was ill straight away afterwards so not sure what type of cream etc they use.Price is reasonable. Due to the last occasion of having to be made to move tables and being ill immediately after, put me off going again.
However the the staff a lovely - couldn't fault them

Nothing amazing but nothing to fault. Service reasonable and smiling staff , clean and tidy dining area, prices are fair for food is ok . We had starters and pizza main for £11 each.
We went early evening at approx 6pm midweek, it was very busy but they found us a table and service time was acceptable .

We go out as a rarity, so somewhere nice is important.Wife had fillet steak. I had the sea bass with ginger and garlic (and chilli). It was sooooo good I asked to see the chef to personally shake his hand and thank him for my dinner. Not cheap, and we didnt go for the pizza side of things, but god it was good.
young family celebrating daughters 16th was next table, happy birthday sung, by all in restaurant. really comfortable atmosphere, but not intimate if thats what you want2 courses each with bottle of wine approx 70 quid for two. No mucking about. Why go for cheapo when you go out so rarely...
Highly recommended...

We came across this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. Because of the Mother's Day the restaurant was pretty busy.Although the waiters were a bit slow, the food was amazing. The size of the portions were good and everything tasted delicious.

Definitely recommended!

First we went to the sister restaurant of this eatery: La Locanda del Duca as we were meant to have reservations. However due to a mix-up we ended up being taken to Pomodoro e Mozzarella. Whilst we were appreciative they found us a table in short notice. The overall experience was average. My pizza was ok but nothing special and my partner pasta were not the freshest (not homemade). This is probably a restaurant were regulars are being treated better than one-off. Unfortunately for us we were one-offs so did not get much attention nor did our food. In and out in less than one hour. It is really busy and feel very impersonal. If you want a quick ok meal this should do.
