USE IT OR LOSE IT!

If you haven't already you must go see a show here.
Absolute hidden gem of a theatre- Classic, old fashioned interior, steeped in history you could almost feel and smell the amount of famous celebrities and shows this place has put on in the last 139 years. Made the hairs on the back of your neck tingle.!!!

We watched an adult drag pantomine here ( which was absolutely pant wettingly hilarious lol) and with 630 seats across 3levels you really are getting a more intimate, private experience over the larger theaters.

Staff very friendly and joyfull upon greeting you into the theatre and wishing safe journeys home when show was over.

Range of snacks and refreshments available to enjoy during the performance too. ( Strawberry cider, gin, wine etc)

Whilst parking availability isnt amazing around the theatre, along the seafront or street - the nearest NCP is only a 7 minute walk ( i believe 24hr).....or grab a taxi there to enjoy a few drinkypoos.

Places like these won't be around forever if we don't all support them - 💯 you should go.

Show was fabulous, but I took a friend who uses an electric mobility scooter, but can walk short distances on crutches. The theatre just is not accessible/set up for people who struggle. There is no parking nearby, entrance doors have "lips", no handrails, the floor has a slope, lighting is dim, toilets have huge long queues, bar is unusable and the fold up seats are frayed as well as difficult to lower/raise into. When you consider that Eastbourne is known for its largely retired population demographic, it really needs to discover accessible features.

What a wonderful atmosphere there, ok, a little tired in places but with the age of that theatre, that is to be expected. I wouldn't change a thing!

A beautiful small theatre with comfortable seats and good legroom. Better acoustics than the Congress!

Very old and tired Inside, but I guess that's good for character, the major downside is the lack of parking, was a great show none the less.
