We were staying near the theatres and it was close by -near the beach too so not town centre. Loved it! we only called 45 mins before arriving and when we arrived after 7.15pm it was nearly full, but we were warmly welcomed and seated. Very cosy, a lovely friendly atmosphere. We called the lady over after 15 mins as were ready to order and they were busy - she was super helpful and welcoming. Our 4 starters arrived, amazing vegetable tempura, our teen boys were very impressed as starving, all devoured but then we worried we would not eat our mains!!! but a nice pause and then our tasty mains arrived, portions were perfect, not too massive and again all very tasty. Hubby liked the masaman and we loved the pad thai - 4 drinks too all for £70 which we thought was quite good. Totally delicious, very relaxed and we would definitely return when in the area again. Thank you so much Sabaidee staff!

This restaurant was on the recommended list in our hotel and it certainly lived up to the expectations.
Great food, friendly staff and lovely ambience.

However, the cost can run away, think carefully when ordering.

Very tasty food, friendly and helpful staff. They do like to pack people and tables in thought, lol. They try their best to not turn anyone away. We went on the rainy August bank holiday, it was really full, great atmosphere

Glad we booked in advance as the Saturday night was fully booked. Good atmosphere - not too noisy as some restaurants can be - and consistently friendly service from the staff. Didn’t feel rushed. If we’re in the area again, would definitely head back.

This is my fourth review for this restaurant, following my first review of one star. I'm pleased to say that the experience has improved on each visit and on this occasion the whole experience was faultless. In my first review I wrote about luke warm starters. This time all dishes were piping hot, which makes a massive difference and all were absolutely delicious. After our starters we were asked if we wanted some time before our mains and were then asked again if we were ready before they were served. I also witnessed this at other tables. This was one of my criticisms in my first review in that our mains were served straight after the starters, without anytime to digest them first. This small change makes a massive difference to the whole eating experience and my son confirmed that he was asked the same on his recent visit. Service was polite, prompt, welcoming and not overbearing. A real first class night out and we look forward to returning soon.

Tastefully decorated restaurant with attentive service on a weekday evening. My jasmine tea came in a clear glass tea pot and was topped up on request. Steamed sea-bass was delicately cooked with chilli and lemongrass on a bed of chinese cabbage. Lovely dish which I had with steamed rice. the restaurant is part of eastbourne tourism scheme which gives you 10% off the bill. Enjoyable meal and evening out

This restaurant was recommended to me by the reception desk at my hotel - The View Hotel - which is just around the corner.
I just turned up on spec and the staff were welcoming, polite, helpful and very accommodating.
The food was sensational with the dishes I had being delicious, hot, spicy and flavoursome and all washed down with a very good Australian Riesling.
The premises are relatively small and understated but if you enjoy Thai cuisine this is a good place to indulge yourself.
The Chicken Sateh (Satay) had a slightly different flavour and additional sauce to normal but the change was pleasant and thoroughly enjoyable.
I had a Pad dish to compliment my main course which is called "Weeping Tiger" and is a sirloin steak dish cooked in vegetables and chillies with a lovely chilli sauce to set it off. The steak dish was absolutely superb and I would happily recommend it to anyone if you like your food warm in every sense.
This was for me the perfect end to what had been a good day in any case. If you get the chance and you enjoy this sort of food then you will not regret trying the Sabaidee Restaurant

I think this was probably my 3rd or 4th visit to this hugely popular restaurant. As always the place was humming and everyone seemed to be having an enjoyable dining experience. My companion and I elected to have the sharing platter for two persons as our starter. A good choice. We followed this with a couple of main dishes and the special fried rice. There is a large range of authentic dishes to choose from, beautifully presented and served by the polite, courteous and efficient staff. A return visit is a must.

Went here for an evening meal over the air show weekend and was extremely delighted that we had booked as they were exceptionally busy. It was a real find as it is off the beaten track somewhat but well worth searching for. The food was terrific, the service brilliant (especially so as they were fully booked for at least two sittings) and typically for a Thai restaurant the food was deliciously presented. Will definitely revisit when next in Eastbourne!

A local resident, half Thai, told me this is the best Thai restaurant in Eastbourne. It doesn't look particularly inviting from the outside, but based on that recommendation I decided to try it. I think she was right! It looks a lot better inside than the outside would suggest, quite spacious for a small place, the service is gracious, helpful and friendly, and the food is excellent. Not especially cheap, but very good value for a good meal and an enjoyable evening out. The staff are welcoming and helpful, and although they must be rushed off their feet, they remain friendly and calm, exhibiting true Thai friendliness and graciousness. Will I go back? Without a doubt!

I love Thai food and we wanted to find somewhere which was tasty and value for money and we succeeded. It is a small but beautiful restaurant with authentic cooking and great service. I have some allergies and intolerance's but staff were able to accommodate me without me feeling like I was a nuisance. They also had a lot of choice for vegetarian's and we all left feeling like we couldn't eat a thing more but extremely happy with our choices. The venue is just off the high street so I am not sure how much passing trade they would have but once you have found it - you would definitely return. The set menu offered real value for money and a chance for your party to share in the dishes which we really liked. The main menu had a lot of choice but this may end up being a mid priced meal rather than a value meal. Either way - I would have been happy as it was delicious. They can accommodate large groups - but best to ring ahead as the restaurant is small and I would only chance popping in if there are 2/3 of you and not a large party.

We have visited this restaurant over the past 5 years when attending the Eastbourne Tennis Tournament. Both of us are never disappointed. The range of the menu is extensive and the tastes are fabulous. Please take the precaution of phoning and booking a table it is very popular. The restaurant is small hence the need to book early. This year we went there both nights we stayed in Eastbourne. It is a must visit and you will not be disappointed. We are already booking for two nights next June !!!!

We have not been here before. It does a very good range of dishes including all the usuals but some we had not seen before. The starters were very good. My wife went for a Massamen curry which was not spicy and not too sweet but with a really nice almond taste. I had a Jungle curry which was spicy but not crazy spicy. The coconut rice was fantastic and the sticky rice very good too. Portions were quite large and prices reasonable.

I stayed 2 nights in Eastbourne for the tennis and this was my first trip to the coastal town. This was a few mins from both my hotel and the tennis.
Great customer service with super friendly staff who made us feel very welcome despite being the busiest time of the year.
Good menu with choices of food from hot to mild. We enjoyed it so much and the food was delicious and freshly cooked we went back both nights. Busy but great atmosphere and quick service.
