This is a very busy restaurant and booking is essential so as not to be disappointed. Once seated you can look around at the lovely Thai decor. The food was very good and fresh. The service was also of a very high standard.

Outstanding, and busy for a Thursday early evening, we really had a great meal here et the Sabaidee Thai. The food and service (we had a menu 2B) were impeccable.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Starters were fantastic and mains great too although hubby and I agreed, they could have been a little more spicier for us ...but that is all down to personal preference.

Will definitely be going back.

This is my third review of this restaurant having given two and four stars previously. This time around I am pleased to be able to rate our visit as five star. The food was excellent and the ribs were certainly a whole lot better than those I mentioned in my first review. We all enjoyed our mains and deserts as well. The biggest change since my first review, which is very welcomed, is that we were asked if we would like to wait before having our mains, and were then asked if we were ready for them. This is so much better than our experience during my first review when our mains arrived virtually straight after our starters. I did wonder if this was due to going on a quiet Monday night, but my son who came with us said that he was asked the same when he visited on the previous Saturday night. The tables are still very close together, and we did ask if we could sit at a different table to the one in the window area which we were first offered, which was no problem. The waitresses were both very attentive, pleasant and provided a first class service. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Tucked away in a small street comes the magic of Thai food. Reasonably priced and excellent food. Great service.

We chose to eat here after reading other reviews on Trip Advisor. The restaurant has a nice friendly atmosphere and very pleasant staff. For 2-course set meals for 2 people plus a bottle of wine the bill was £45.

Visited here recently as part of a large group. I thought that the food and service was very good. I chose one of the noodle dishes as my main course and it was delicious and plentiful. As a group we felt that we enjoyed very good value for the money that we paid and I would certainly look forward to a revisit sometime in the future, maybe trying an evening meal. As mentioned by others it really is essential to book ahead for this popular restaurant. It would be great for a pre theatre meal, being so close to the theatres.

we just had to come back here after a recent visit. Fish cakes for starters were lovely, mains of beef stir fry and weeping tiger were gorgeous. Restaurant is a little cramped with not much space between tables. We were more that happy with that. Do try it.

Really quite enjoyed this. The restaurant is small and was quite busy so service was patchy but the food was excellent. Ribs, prawns, cod in a rich curry sauce were all happily hoovered up, washed down with bottles of cold Singha beer. Special mention goes to the Pad Thai which was the best I’ve eaten outside of Thailand. Recommended

We were on a bank holiday weekend in Eastbourne and came here on a busy Saturday night without a booking. They managed to squeeze us in and I’m so glad they did.
The service was good and friendly, not pushy at all. There’s a great choice on the menu. We had lovely starters - Money Bags and Spring rolls, both were really good.
For mains we had green curry and pad Thai both were delicious.
Although not rushed the service was quite quick so we were in and out in less than an hour, but it was a busy weekend.

I enjoyed my visit because of the company I kept but unfortunately main courses didn't include rice and at an extra couple of pounds it turned a main course into 12.00 pounds. Because it was so expensive, there were not many guests which meant the restaurant lacked atmosphere.

This beautifully decorated, cosy restaurant is perfect for friends gathering, dates, special occasions and so much more. The staff are so welcoming and will do anything to make sure everyone has a good time and always have a smile on their faces. Perfect for veggies/gluten free. My friends and I come regularly and they have all confirmed it is one of the best Thais in town! The food is delicious and the coconut rice is to die for.

This was our first visit to Sabaidee since a bad experience last July. We decided to give it another try, even though the Manager's response was that my review was exaggerated, rather than accept that on that occasion we had a bad experience. This time, I must say that things were greatly improved. The waitresses were faultless and very attentive. The chicken satay was hot this time, and very enjoyable. The pastry around the prawns, in our opinion, was a little overcooked, but again better than last time. What was interesting, was that this time around we were asked if we were ready for our mains, which we weren't as I wasn't at the table. The mains appeared around 5 minutes later, but as we were previously asked if we were ready, it might have been appropriate to ask again if we were then ready rather than assume and just bring the food to the table. The mains were good, and again enjoyable, but could have possibly been a little warmer. Our table was certainly in a far better spot in the restaurant compared to last time, but the tables are very tightly packed in with little space between them. When squeezing between the tables, you are conscious that your backside is potentially going to knock something off the table next to you. Overall though, a far better experience and an enjoyable meal. We will visit the restaurant again soon, and any subsequent review will, as always, be based on our views and opinion of the experience of that particular visit.

Usually we don’t have Thai but decided to have a go. We had starters, mussels and soup, the mussels were very good and seemed fresh, the soup also. For main we had squid and a curry. The squid tasted great and came in vast quantities, although the skin on it was very hard to chew so I ended up having to pull it out of my mouth. The curry was very good. Meal presentation was excellent and the service very good. The Thai beer “Chang” was very good as well. I thought it was reasonably priced. Overall a very pleasant experience at the Sabaidee, I would definitely come back.

I was staying in a nearby B&B when I dropped in here this week. Didn’t look like it was open at first as is quite dark and not well lit from the outside. I have the pork pad ka prow which was nice but lacked the real heat and spice of a similar dish in Thailand. Prices are reasonable and service from the two young girls was excellent. Certainly worth a visit if your in the area.

We booked this restaurant as a 'surprise birthday' for family. Very busy but it was Mothers' Day too! Very pleasant atmosphere, all ages in the diners list. Very attentive and friendly service and equally helpful and knowledgeable when asked what ingredients were in various dishes (we had two vegetarians in the foursome). the food was well presented, hot and generous in the amounts served. All in all, a very pleasing experience. Definitely a return visit is on the cards.

What a lovely restaurant. Food was gorgeous and the staff were smiling, friendly & efficient. Starters & main course all served within a reasonable timescale and the food was really very nice. We were staying at a nearby hotel & chanced our luck at 6:30 on a Friday evening. They found us a table for 2, just, but I would strongly advise booking, as we will next time we're passing. Highly recommended.
