Wife and I visited this restaurant on 24th May, and understand it has recently come under new management. On arrival we were greeted by a waitress and seated in newly decorated room. There was some gentle music in background which was not intrusive and added to the atmosphere. We had a selection of dishes which all arrived quickly and well cooked. We both commented on how tasty all the dishes were, not bland at all. We had a bottle of house red wine which was very nice and was only £12. The Thai custard pudding was also tasty. Overall a pleasant experience and we will return,

Staying at the Grand hotel, but where looking for a less stuffy, more relaxed environment for our evening meal. We found it here. Very traditional feel with the staff dressed in beautiful outfits. We checked food standards agency before we went with a pleasing 5. Taste of food was really excellent. My soup was far too spicy for my pallet with a truly pleasure / pain experience. The major downside was that service was really slow. Took nearly 50 minutes to get our first course. It would have been nice to give us a complimentary drink or snack to keep us going or even apology... I think they missed a trick here and it does feel that they can't cope with the number of tables they have. So all said if you can Accept a potential long wait, the food is great (if not a tad too spicy).

I dined at Siam Orchid because it is close to my B&B and I liked the look of the menu. I went inside the restaurant for just a table for myself, the waitress was unsure and checked with the manager. I can see the manager in the distance waving at her to put me at the table by the door, I asked politely if I could sit elsewhere as there were as least 4 other empty tables and I don't like the drought by the door. Despite no reserve signs on the table, the manager said thats the only table available.
Still need to fill my belly, I took the table. The staff were attentive and took my order. The food arrive hot and i didn't have to wait for long. The fresh squid was fantastic, lightly battered and very fresh. So were the prawns in my curry. I was impressed with the food.
Overall it was a good dining experience.

Just off the seafront, a small resturant from early evening it was over half full which must speak volumes. Excellent food, value, service and ambience, plus very relaxed.

Have been here quite a few times and always staff and fiendly and food is lovely. But food could sometimes be a little hotter on delivery (not spicy-hot, just hot-hot.) We forgive this because it's so nice.

The exterior of this Thai restaurant is dull and uninspiring. The interior is wooden floored and functional. The service is warm charming, helpful and efficient. The range of Thai food is wide and varied and is presented well and tasted authentic. The wine list is not expensive (Chilian Sav Blanc at £13.50) and contains a selection of Thai wines.
The whole experience, once you are inside, is comfortable and pleasing.Well worth a visit! and for me this is the best Thai restaurant in town, by far. Low key, understated but right on.

We enjoyed our Valentine's meal here. The service was friendly and welcoming and the 3 course meal was pretty good. The price of £25 including a glass of wine was about par for the course though the glass was on the small side.

I ate here as it was near to my accommodation and looked inviting. The menu is fairly extensive and a good selection is available. I chose the duck spring roll for starter and then a beef massaman (spicy stew) both of which were very nicely done. The starter came with a carved carrot which was absolutely delightful to see - almost too good to eat!
This restaurant serves Movenpick desserts which are of good quality but quite pricey.Jasmine Tea is offered here as an alternative to standard tea and coffee, and made a most enjoyable way of rounding off the meal.

Mains were served in small bowls which meant there wasn't quite enough. Flavour was spot on and prices quite reasonable but in hindsight we wished we had ordered another dish to share on top of the two that we did.

Service was courteous and efficient.

Called up 20 mins before we wanted a table on a Friday night due to a last minute cancellation and they got us in no problem! Thom Yum was equisite as was my duck dish. Everybody enjoyed the food and prices are reasonable. Staff were friendly and attentive without being over bearing.
Lovely.

We had a really nice meal one Sunday afternoon, the waitress was really nice and friendly. The restaurant was not very busy, but probably due to the fact that it was getting late in the afternoon and probably not far off closing time but we were not rushed in anyway what so ever.
We had a very nice meal, lovely food, very nice combination of flavours. The thai wine (monsoon) was excellent; nicely chilled.
Although not cheap (but then again where is nowadays?) we felt that we paid for what we got.
The decor of the restaurant is quite pleasant nice wooden floor and comfortable seating.
This was our first visit here and we would definitely return.

Ate here in August 2010 with my mum & were both very impressed. Restaurant is not massive but it is well spaced out so that tables are not squashed in. Friendly & helpful staff, good choice of food on menu (large veggie choice), excellent food, good atmosphere. would go here again. Drinks were on the pricey side though, but food good value.
