As we went through the process of acquiring ISO 27001 accreditation, Southern IT were extremely helpful implementing cyber essentials, and other required procedures, such as off site data back ups for all of our company computers and also
attending our offices to encrypt all of our systems whilst giving them a thorough health check....
Shortly after partnering with Southern IT, we had a fire in one of our buildings which damaged some of our IT equipment. Southern IT provided us with backup computers, complete with all of our backed up dated whilst they recovered and repaired our other office laptops etc. Without their off site backups and assistance, the process of data recovery would have been impossible.....so Southern IT are probably one of the best investments our company has ever made to date.

I asked Andy at Southern IT for some help. I had been inundated with scam emails and our business bank account had been hacked twice in 6 months. Everyone should attend Southern IT’s Cyber Security workshop, without question.
I’m pretty tech savvy already and wasn’t sure if there was anything new I would take away. I was wrong and certainly learnt a few things.
It really highlighted some points that I had either forgotten, or wasn’t aware of in the first place. The moment it finished, an Anti-Virus was put onto my phone and I told all colleagues to do the same.
It also made me realise that it’s ‘when’ we will be hit and not ‘if’, so I strongly recommend that at least 1 person from every organisation attends this and feeds back to all staff members.

We are extremely grateful to Southern IT, we had an electrical emergency with one of our edit suite PC machines and needed a very fast solution to our problem.
Not only did they arrive within the hour, they had the suite back up and running the same day with no fuss. We managed to complete our programme within our client deadline.

Assistance from this company could save your business… I knew some basics of Cyber Security already but in their workshop for local businesses, they really went into detail on how easy it is to breach company devices and how our ‘human firewall’ is just as important as the technical aspects. As a result, we have now reviewed all our technical measures, but also reminding staff by sending ‘Top Cyber Security Tips’ emails regularly, which keeps them alert of the threats. I would recommend this workshop to all.
