Lots of posh apartments overlooking the harbour the boats and the sea. Also some nice places to eat. Didn’t find much to do in Eastbourne. This is a short drive away. Also near a retail park for those that want to do some shopping

When the sun is out this place is splendid. You could be anywhere in the world. Water, yachts and plenty of harbour side restaurants for coffee, breakfast l, lunch or dinner. Great sun downer beers

Great to walk round at any time of year, stand and watch the locks open and the boats pass through. Plenty of cafes and restaurants for refreshments. Also a good selection of shops just round the corner.

Beautiful Marina, almost deserted both times I was there. Great place to have a meal and look out over the lovely boats. Excellent hairdresser/manicurist who fitted me in and both did a great job.

Went here as we had gone to the cinema and the went to the Thai Marina restaurant afterwards.

Mostly called ‘The Waterfront’ now in order to give it a facelift name change but still the same area.

Plenty of excellent food, drink and entertainment choices for everyone from movies and ice cream for the kids to the Garden bar for Millenials and cafes for families. There are plenty of restaurant choices and a short five minute walk to the beach.

We walked from Eastbourne pier along the beach path for some exercised and continued to the Marina. The coffee shop at the Marina was just right. Sitting out the front on the decking enjoying the mild day watching the boats and seeing the world go by was just calm and pleasant. A popular place for visitors who likewise were enjoying the serenity of a Sunday morning.

We walked from Eastbourne Pier on a mild but not sunny day and enjoyed meandering along looking at various things of interest on the seafront and beach. We had no idea what we would find and were pleasantly surprised when we cam upn the Marina and were able to watch boats coming in through the lock. After that we found the eateries section and chose a lovely café with outside seating and lapped up the atmosphere and sunshine by this time, whilst devouring some of the best cake we have found. There are a few shops like Wilko, unfortunately not the little boutique type ones that we had hoped to find. If you want to, you can hjop on a bus nearby and go to Hastings which takes about an hour and wander along the seafront there, the pier was closed that day, but further down by the old town we found a lovely little steam train which took us for a ride. There is also a Cliff car but this was not operational that day, but we believe it is worth going to the top of the cliffs where there are more things to find - apart from the view.

We visited today as we do every time we are in the area. We love that you can wander around ‘inside ‘ looking at all the moored boats . Or you can walk through and visit the beach
Great place to have a day or a few hours just wandering around

Decided to walk from our hotel which was near the pier and it was so so windy but the views were amazing with the sea and the amazing waves that takes your breath away .. it was a good few miles but we had so much fun walking and trying not to get blown away .
We got to the harbour and stopped for cake and a cuppa and there are a lot of restaurants and different places to stop off with great views and I get on better weather it gets very busy . Nice place to go

WOW, what a place. Sitting outside one of the various restaurants, looking out at the boats in the harbour. You could be in the South of France. Truly a place to spend the day, relaxing.

Walking in the Sunshine at Sovereign Harbour from Pevensey bay , most enjoyable. Several benches near the Harvester to picnic & enjoy the views of the boats . 19degrees , in shorts and in February - great . Quite a few places to eat .we also saw a few seals basking in the sun !

Whilst the actual marina is pretty smart and generally very tidy, it sadly looks like the planners didn’t plan the layout and appearance of the surrounding ‘estate’ very well - it all looks far too ad hoc and pieced together.

The added bonus for us was to see a pair on inquisitive seals popping up in the outer basin.

This is a hard one as it is so different from out first visit a few years ago.tired looking.needs a good layer of fresh paint.felt a little bit spooky waiting at the back for our taxi. The Italian was screaming with noise and food was boring so we left ASAP. Such a shame

Great place to stroll around, plenty of parking. You can shop in the Crumbles shopping centre.Eat in the restaurants surrounding the harbour or relax outside
With a glass of wine.In the summer there is a pleasure boat cruise of the harbours or you can take the dotto train from Eastbourne seafront.

Always like an amble around the inner harbour areas. We had a clear sunny day although rather cold-not unexpected for the time of the year.
A drawback is one area where wheelchair or mobility scooter users come unstuck with steps up and over. Thankfully kind fellow wanderers assisted us getting my wife's scooter over. It's something the harbour authorities could look at as you travel around the harbour some considerable way before you encounter the obstacle.
In the summer months there is a small boat that you can go on around the harbour etc

Caught the bus from Eastbourne and got off at Asda stop. Friend kept exclaiming oh there's a Boots, Matelan, Wilcos and then said she didn't expect so many shops.
Walked round the corner and spent time looking at the lobster pots, fishing tackle and dry docked boats. Got to the Harvester pub but we decided to carry on looking around the marina. Headed towards the swing bridge just in time for the lights to change. Watched 2boats go through into the other side of the marina. Crossed over when bridge closed and walked through to the Lifeboat station. Had a natter with some people there and wandered back after taking a picture of the lifeboat out on the water. Called at the Harvester and warmed up with tea and coffee.
Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and headed back for the bus.

Great palce to go for a wander or a meal - plenty of restaurants and the Thai restaurant is very good. If you like your boats then this is defo a place to just walk around - then when you have had enough you can walk the beach which is adjacent and also very good. You can in fact walk all the way here along the coastline from Eastbourne town itself
