Everything in the Harbour is great. Food, coffee, bars, restaurants, views! When the sun is shining you think you're in Spain or somewhere!

Good place to visit whilst in Eastbourne. Good cafés and scenery. Also selection of larger stores nearby for shopping. Free parking.

If your in to boats and water this is the place. Trips around the harbour may be taken, otherwise you can stroll around. There are restaurants and cafes galore, and for my wife, she who is determined to cure any recession by herself, plenty of shops to visit. If the weather is kind to you, a few hours can be spent here, no trouble.

We took the little train ride to the harbour well we had to walk about 50 mts from the terminal to this place.
There are plenty of places to sit down and rest and look around at the expensive yachts in the marina.
There are ample restaurants in and around the harbour / icecream and coffee every where.

We thought there would be more here. It's nice but it's a strip of restaurants and pubs, just a few shops and these are all down one side only. So if you go off walking round the water you have quite a long walk back with nowhere in between. We saw a lovely baby seal playing in the harbour shallow. The locks etc very interesting

Sovereign Harbour is an impressive waterfront development and Marina that has grown dramatically in the past 10-15 years. A delight for boaters and locals alike it also offers visitors a glimpse of the English Marina life-style, so close to the sea, with an assortment of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy. Thai Marina Restaurant is one to be recommended for its outstanding cuisine at 13 The Waterfront. Reservations recommended as this place is buzzing every night!

We went to this marina on out first night in Eastbourne and had a really nice meal in one of the restaurants there. Very easy to get to along a well marked path on the seafront.

Pleasant to walk round with active harbour entrance where you can watch boars and yachts entering and leaving from the locks. An effective parade of shops , cafes and bars with both inside and outside seating overlooking the harbour which is sheltered by houses and flats. For visitors there is the Harbour Boat Tours which give a guided boat tour with commentary on all parts of the harbour. A very pleasant way to spend a sunny morning or afternoon followed by lunch, tea or dinner.

Sovereign harbour is a real favourite of ours. Always a great atmosphere, even during chilly days there is so much life here. Like most outdoors places, it is at it's best on a sunny day, lots of places to sit and have a drink or food sitting outside watching the people and marina activity.
Lots of different types of restaurant or you can just sit on one of the harbour side seats and soak up the atmosphere. On a busy day it is nice to sit by the locks and watch the boats come and go. Whether you want somewhere lively, or just somewhere to chill-out it is definitely the place to come.

The marina is a nice relaxed place to walk and take in the views. There are quite a few nice eateries to take in a meal. Next to the marina is a retail park with Next, Asda and other shops to look round. It's well worth a visit.

We visited the harbour for a walk, coffee and lunch. We were pleasantly surprised excellent cuisine giving you a taste of the Mediterranean while sitting alfresco in the glorious sunshine although the sun is not always guaranteed. Brilliant walk around the marina looking at the yachts and sail boats. You can take a short boat trip from here out to sea. It was interesting to watch the boats coming in and out of the harbour. Good coffee and free parking what more could you want.

The private waterfronts and moorings of the houses preclude a walk around the edge of the inner harbour, but the middle harbour is accessible and a pleasant walk. Parking is free and there are a selection of cafe's and restaurants at which to sit outside and enjoy the view and sunshine.

The harbour is a great location to experience a Mediterranean experience on the South Coast on the UK. The Harbourfront area is perfect whether you want Italian, Thai, or Indian food, or simply want a UK Cafe experience. The Thai restaurant is in my opinion, one of the best I have eaten at, and Thai is my favourite food. The harbour is well designed for walkers and cyclists alike. Many walkways are available away from the traffic. The harbour is busy, and sitting with a glass of wine, and a dish of pasta, in the spring / summer , you really could be anywhere in the Med.
