Sovereign Harbour Marina is really worth a visit if you're in Eastbourne. There are a variety of eating places catering for all tastes, a couple of bars and a lovely gift shop. In the summer, you can take a little boat trip around the Harbour for a small fee.

A lovely 45 minute stroll along the promenade from Eastbourne pier will bring you to Sovereign Harbour. There's a good choice of restaurants, cafes and bars, and on a sunny day with a view of the marina and a cold beer, it's a lovely place to relax for a couple of hours.

Sovereign Harbour is a good place to go for Lunch, (you are spoilt for choice as there are so many places to choose from). After Lunch as it was a lovely sunny day, my friends and I decided to walk around the Marina looking at the various boats moored there. They do Boat Trips from there too. Nearby there are some shops a Supermarket, a Petrol Station and a Cinema (which was showing one of the latest films). The Car Park has plenty of places to Park, which are FREE, this was very unexpected. We will certainly visit Sovereign Harbour next time we are down at Eastbourne.

on a nice day the ideal place to take a stroll as a couple with the dog or grandchildren /children plenty of seats to rest coffee shop and delightful shops for different gifts lovely boats to look and droll over only downfall not all dog owners clean up after there animals they also offer round the harbour boat trips

A wonderful area to wander around on a sunny day, many restaurants and coffee shops. If you like boats, you will get very envious just looking. Nearby shopping area with a variety of the multiples.

On a lovely sunny day a walk around the marina (if you're lucky you will spot the seals) followed by a coffee looking out at the yachts, you would be forgiven for thinking you were in the South of France. Good choice of restaurants as well.

We visited this place thinking thinking there would be some adventure or something, but it turned out to be completely different than what we expected it to be, though we were happy with what was on offer, there are many great restaurants and you'll see lots and lots of yacht's standing there. Nice place for outing.

Quite spectacular on a sunny day seeing all the wonderful yachts in the marina. There is also a small boat that will take you around and sail you under the bridges. Really nice for all ages and inexpensive cafes and restaurants if you look carefully. Have been many times and still find it enjoyable.

Sunday with the sun out and no breeze to speak of we wandered off to Sovereign Harbour just on the outskirts of Eastbourne about a mile from Martello Beach Holiday Park where we have a beach retreat.
There are restaurants and a shop there before you actually get onto the harbour walk.
During the Summer it is quite busy with all sorts of craft coming and going joy to any young or older persons who like boats.
It is a very pleasant stroll and if you do it just before lunch you can then eat at one of the restaurants you passed going in. I would recommend Seasons especially the dressed crab. They also have a great array of wines and other foods for sale
The thing that takes a lot of tourists interest is the locks where the boats have to wait for the basin to fill with other craft before the lock gates are closed at one end and opened at the other so that they can all proceed out to sea.
A nice couple of hours spent in the fresh air.

A wonderful area for a coffee or a pub meal. We were fortunate to visit on a beautiful day and the area was very busy with visitors. There are a few shops to browse but the area is mainly one for sitting and enjoying the views. There was always some activity with yachts coming and going. The area is easy to walk round with only a few steps down to the water level.

Nice place to visit - you can wall round all the marinas and look at the boats - over the sea lock and on the beach - at the Waterfront you can have a meal from several restaurants or in the day sit at an outside table and have a snack or coffee - couple of bars and a couple of cafes - the Waterfront is not a big place and not much to do their unless you want to eat - easy parking - its all very modern with lots of apartments

Brother in law has a flat here so often visit and really enjoy having a leisurely wander around looking at the boats coming in and out. It has a relaxed feel and there are places to stop for a coffee or full meal. For anyone getting shopping withdrawal systems there is a retail park behind which also includes a cinema.

The harbour is buzzing and a vibrant place to visit, for all ages. There are several restaurants to choose from; depending on your tastes (and budget). The harbour promotes alfresco dining, which can be like dining abroad during the summer months! There are also bars and cafes, for those looking for a somewhere to relax with friends. There are several walks around the harbour itself, or you can hop on the harbour boat tour (during the summer months). This is a 30 minute tour and it comes with an amusing commentator on board! During the evenings, several bars/restaurants offer live music and other entertainment. If you haven't been; you have to try it!

A "must do". Interesting shops and restaurants around the main access to the marina, clothes and maritime themed units plus boat sales agents. There are cruises in medium sized boats to take you around the moorings area and out of the harbour to sea. A large shopping complex adjoins the marina with a cinema multi screen.

Two huge marinas and many blocks of apartments, maybe too many. Great to walk around with plenty to look at - boats, restaurants, bar, people. Out-of-town retail centre attached, plus Cineworld. We stayed in an apartment at the far edge of the Sovereign Harbour South. Despite so many apartments the marina is eerily quiet in the evening; just a few dog walkers and joggers. It was a fifteen minute walk to the restaurants and shops as the whole site is vast.

we visit soverieign harbour in Eastbourne regularly, its similar to brighton marina but on a much smaller scale, and the parking is free! theres quite a few restaurants, couple bars, hair dressers, couple shops, cafes, but the nicest bit is its very relaxed and not busy, and its really lovely to walk right around the harbour and look at the boats, also sometimes you see fish and there are seals out by the arm too.

I could have been in the south of France at Monte Carlo. The boats were luxury, the apartment buildings overlooking the harbour were super and the range of eating houses around the harbour side were excellent and offering meals at very reasonable prices

The Harbour is apparently one the biggest in Europe. We took the little boat tour of the whole place. There are actually four separate harbours, and they are all pretty full. Good rates apparently :)
Anyway, the Harbour is a lovely place to walk the dog (go South and see the Harbour entrance and scrub land to what the Crumbles used to look like). The lock gates are fascinating and so busy, manned 24/7 even on Christmas Day!

What a wonderful marina. It felt like being abroad somewhere like Portugal or Skiathos. The calm settings and superb eateries are a must to see and experience. This place makes a welcome change from Eastbourne itself purely for the tranquility and varied types of boats to see or buy. If your lucky you may see a seal or two popping out of the water.

Not impressed by the limited choice of bars, cafes and restaurants here. There are a minimal number of shops. The Marina seems to be all about large apartment blocks, town houses and of course boats. There are adequate car parks though
