This was a really good choice of hotel to stay in Eastbourne with a very good seafront location. It is a pity that I was on a short business trip as I would very much have liked to make the most of the facilities and enjoy the 'grand' ambience at my leisure.The hotel really takes you back in time to the days of splendor! I will certainly be staying again... with the family next time!

This was probably the best experience I’ve ever had with any hotel in my whole life, from the moment we arrived it was relaxing, charming and magic, I don’t think I’ve ever felt so relaxed and revitalised after staying in a hotel, the grand has it all, We would recommend to anyone. Thank you for making my girlfriends birthday so special.

This was a treat for my dad's 70th and myself, husband, 18month old daughter and my dad had the most lovely time here from the moment we stepped through the doors. All the staff are exceptional and extremely helpful and attentive. Food, Rooms, Ambience and play area are all fantastic. We will be returning and I am already looking forward to that.

Welcoming, courteous, non pretentious staff. Upgraded to an executive room that was spacious and tastefully decorated. Dinner in the Garden Restaurant was very good. Breakfast buffet consisted of a good variety of the usual items. However, 2 G&T's at £20 was on the expensive side

Someone who stayed at The Grand in the 1960's told us that an elderly gentleman guest had a horse brought to the hotel each day which he rode along the beach and which was later collected from the front of the hotel. How lovely !

Stayed at The Grand Eastbourne, for the weekend. I arrived at about 9:00pm just when the dancing that they have on Friday's and Saturday’s was starting. As I had arrived so late I had sandwiches in the bar which were delicious. I found all the staff to be efficient and helpful. Special mention should be made for Emily in the bar who remembered my name and what I like to drink even though I had not been back for months. I have put this in other reviews, but as it is still relevant I will repeat, message to management, look after her she is good. Talking of the staff all the staff there are brilliant when I say that I am including all the staff that we do not see without which the Hotel would not run so smoothly.

The reception at the Hotel is open 24/7 so there is not a problem about paying if you have to leave the hotel really early like I always have to do.
The Hotel has managed to keep up the high standards that it has kept for years.

A perfect hotel to spend a relaxing break. Everything about it is beautiful and the staff are wonderful. The quality of the food is superb and nothing is too much trouble. The surroundings are so beautiful and it oozes class. Close to the center of Eastbourne and a the stunning seafront is just across the road. Looking forward to returning next year.

It was truly a memorable experience one that will be looking to do again again.
Started from being greeted at the entrance by door man who was polite and helpful. Matter a fact all staff were help and p9lite, always ant to make a every experience a memorable one. We had afternoon tea in one of several lounges. It was the very best that we have ever had. The room was lovely very clean and tidy. We certainly will be back.

Matching up to the “Palace by the Sea” the service by staff was friendly and efficient and our dinner at the Mirabelle Restaurant was really excellent and we met the new Chef Stephanie who was really interested to learn of our appreciation of her cuisine. I was wary of the Venison with dark chocolate sauce but it was fantastic as not sweet at all

My family and I all love the grand. We often sit in the reception with a drink and a snack. And love going for birthdays. Had a lovely stay with my daughter for her 18th birthday. We had an upgrade to a lovely room. And someone brought up a DVD player and some classic DVDs which we really enjoyed.

The menu was not only duplicated, but triplicated most of the time, with perhaps one main course only altered. As we stayed for seven nights this was very noticeable and we think perhaps that the menu could be more varied.

Having experienced a most enjoyable stay with our parents in August my wife and I decided to return by ourselves in September. From the moment we drove up to the entrance we received friendly and cheerful service. All the staff went out of their way to be of assistance and indeed it is the welcoming ambiance of the hotel that is so striking. In addition, the Mirabelle and Garden restaurants offered excellent meals in a very relaxing environment. Our room (300) had excellent views across the water and was well equipped and most comfortably furnished. We would also recommend the Indian head massage! The hotel is ideally situated to provide guests with easy access to the delights of Eastbourne, one of which we consider to be the quirky but excellent Curzon cinema and another is the fish and chip shop at the entrance to the pier. We enjoyed the bandstand when we came in August but it was closed on our return. As the tides did not permit us to have the intended visit to the rock pools we have a reason for yet another visit. Many thanks to all the staff.

Everything about this hotel was excellent, clean comfortable spacious room and excellent food. We had booked a spa break and had a massage which was very relaxing. Service was attentive but not intrusive

I decided to treat my wife to two days in Eastbourne and where better to stay than the Grand Hotel
From the moment we arrived we could not have been treated better and they even knew it was kathy's birthday on Sunday
I cannot praise enough the staff and quality of the food etc - they have yet again raised the bar

Great old English hotel. People who work there are so nice, kind and helpful - I have nothing but praise for them. Some of the poshest hotels could learn a thing or two from you! Oh, and the food was delicious! To sum up, we really enjoyed our stay there! Thank you!

From the moment you arrive to the time you leave you will be treated as a VIP. Every member of staff is there to attend to your every need. It was like been transported back in time with shoe polishing and Turn down service, all these little luxuries really make a difference.

The Grand at Eastbourne is a very special place. The building is so beautiful and feels like going back in time - the amazing winding staircase, beautiful huge, high ceiling rooms, the decor, everything. All of the staff are very professional, nothing is too much trouble. I have celebrated several family birthdays and special occasions here and this year was delighted to experience a master suite with my family. Wonderful.

Reception Staff could have used their initiative to assist a distressed and panicked Bride in an emergency. General Staff - Porter, Breakfast Room, Spa were courteous, informative and helpful. The Presidential Suite was immaculate with stunning views.
