Food & Rooms were lovely. Staff were polite & helpful. Felt there was too many children & dogs staying at the hotel which made it very noisy at times, while most children were very good a few were running around as if it was a playground & their parents didn't seem to worry they were distrubing other guests. A family play room would be ideal for the hotel as a suggestion. Some dogs were barking at times

The room was noisy with a dirty window looking over run down shabby roof tops and back yard. The dinner was very tasteless and over priced for what it was .The staff were lovely and very helpful and polite .

Have been bringing my daughter to the grand at Eastbourne since she was 8, she is now 22, lovely memories and amazing staff. The Grand is a slice of English courtesy & decorum at its very best . Stunning hotel, love my first glimpse each visit.

Everything you would want for a romantic weekend away. Would recommend to anyone looking to enjoy a spa in a lovely area with overall excellent service and some lovely local restaurants, I especially recommend Rostick and preordering the steak and lobster special.

The hotel was lovely the staff were very friendly and helpful but the evening meals were disappointing The Covid cleaning was excellent we would stay again but only on bed and breakfast Hotel is in a perfect position on the seafront

A very positive experience but for two major faults - the room that was advertised was a 28m2 while the room we actually got was a small corner room. During the breakfast service it seems like we have fallen through the cracks and were mostly ignored.

Was a bit disappointed with our visit to the hotel for afternoon tea. For what we paid there was a lot of confusion if my daughter had the right coffee with soya milk and given a Latte instead of coffee also who was given the correct tea. We waited 40 minutes before being served. The cake and sandwich display was a bit bleak for what we paid a head. It tasted very nice but felt quantities were reduced from visiting a previous time.
Had purchased a voucher and given a ref prior to visit yet we were still charged for the full party. It was rectified but we shouldn’t have been put in that position.
The hotel is lovely and relaxing the staff were friendly and helpful but seemed a quite disorganised. Shame as it will probably be relatives last trip out for a while being elderly.

The Grand (which must be especially commended for good arrangements during this pandemic) is beautifully positioned in Eastbourne, with very convenient parking. We wanted a sea view from our room, and very much enjoyed the quiet fourth floor overlooking the Ferris wheel on the sea front. We loved the cliff walks towards Beachy Head.

Fabulous place to stay quite charming .One disappointment was dinner in Garden Restaurant its the inclusive one(it felt like it) although we were not on that tariff overpriced for our experience & food. Mirrabelle on the otherhand was outstanding

Really lovely hotel and attentive staff when you ask. Had a great meal and afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday. Not up to what I expected for a five star as the service in terms of welcome and general orientation was lacking.

The hotel is lovely and staff are wonderful. They go out of their way to make the stay pleasant and safe. However, little things are being reduced in the name of Covid, which quite honestly shouldn't be the case - reduction in tea/coffee in the room, lack of bathroom items etc.

One of the best places to relax and be pampered. The decor is glorious, the staff courteous and nothing seems to be too much trouble. The building inside and outside is beautiful and in a perfect location.

A relaxing short stay. The protocols in place were efficient and we were comfortable using the pool. We enjoyed our meal at the Mirabelle restaurant immensely and had a very good nights sleep. All the staff were welcoming and knowledgable.

Had a 50th birthday here yesterday. The food was ok at best. Nothing mind blowing. The birthday girl was last to be served whilst everyone else had to get on and eat she sat and watched for a further 10 mins. The suite we stayed in was two single beds pushed together. No bar/fridge in the room. Cleaning staff came to our door no fewer then 3 times before 10 AM. Overall it was average at best.

We ate with guests at The Mirabelle and were extremely impressed - Michael Sutherland is a step up from the previous head chef - highly recommended - keep it up we will be back

The covid secure service was attentive, courteous professional and friendly as always, and the rooms were high quality and comfortable

As we were unable to travel abroad for our wedding anniversary, we decided to visit this 5* hotel in Eastbourne. We were not disappointed. The staff were brilliant, especially at breakfast. The room was spacious, clean and tidy. The swimming pool was a fantastic way to start and end the day.
My wife had a massage and could not praise Alice enough. She is a real asset to the hotel and such a lovely warm friendly girl.
Breakfast is a must at this hotel as the options were superb with quality to match. The staff are amazing, warm, friendly and polite and made us feel very welcome and special, especially for our anniversary breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.
I wish I had asked names so as to praise individuals, but hopefully you each know who we are referring to, including the maitre d lady who asked if we enjoyed our anniversary day, the next morning. Thank you for making our anniversary so special.

A very comfortable 5 night stay but somewhat disappointing dinner menu in restaurant which was not up to scratch for a 5* hotel. Enjoyed one or two good dishes, but many menu choices were repeated each evening and often lacked flavour.

Excellent stay. Staff and food were perfect. Service 100% without fault. Room with sea view and Very Covid 19 secure. Breakfast in room a highlight, tasty well cooked and arrived on time Hot. The Grand lived up to its 5 star status.

Recent visit for my husband's birthday. The location is superb. The indoor and outdoor pools both open, (you had to book a time due to covid). The covid measures were all in place, and we felt very safe, but still able to enjoy ourselves. Plenty of staff about if you needed them. All in all a most enjoyable weekend away.

Where do I start from arriving to leaving (reluctantly I might add) the whole experience was exceptional. A beautiful building, well appointed rooms (ours was cosy) and what made the stay was the friendly, professional staff who were attentive without being over bearing. If you had to pick out anyone then Harry in the bar and his team were stars. Always checking that things were OK. We had dinner in the The Garden Restaurant on one of the evenings and again it couldn't be faulted.
If there was one criticism then the breakfast service on Sunday morning could have been better, I think our table was forgotten about.
Even with all the Covid measures the hotel still had that luxurious feel it certainly didn't stop the staff offering excellent service.

why must it be 200 characters, it is a 5 star hotel and it does what is says on the tin, five star service, five star food and five star service from the staff.
nothing phases the staff when you ask for something even though it may seem outrageous, We have always found the staff courteous and friendly. it may be useful to provide the odd indication that lights in the bedroom of suites can be controlled from the switches as you enter to prevent calls to reception to ask how do I switch the lights on!! also instructions on how to use the showers as some times the guests have more up to date shower rooms than the hotel. :-)

Every time I visit the Grand it has the same high standard, great hotel, stayed in various rooms. Both restaurants have lovely menus, very suitable for any occasion. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

The hotel holds prime position on the seafront & has good road access. Car park was full when I arrived, as we were guests staying at the hotel, the doorman found us a space when there appeared to be none.
Check-in very straight forward. The main entrance and tea, coffee and bar areas are very grand but a little faded.Service was excellent. I was somewhat disappointed with our room which did not match the grandeur of the central parts of the hotel. Rooms and bathrooms could do with modernisation, however the staff and service were excellent.
