It’s been a celebratory past few months here at CWCF, with the efforts of our fantastic team and volunteers acknowledged at both the Uckfield and Eastbourne business awards recently.

The crew were lucky enough to join together with local businesses and charities to promote and celebrate the achievements of the past year. Two brilliant nights at The Winter Gardens and East Sussex National Hotel and Resort, were filled with music, dinner, and laughter as the evenings culminated in a show of support for all the work undertaken by locals.

Best business-to-business and community support

At the Eastbourne business awards, we were shortlisted for the Community Support award, for the Uckfield awards we were shortlisted for best business-to-business. Within our aims to support families living with childhood cancer, we also work with many local businesses to carry out our services. From catering, to hiring venues for events, and inflatable hire for the kids to have a laugh, we rely on local companies to help us put together the best family events we can. Bringing business to the local area is what helps us foster relationships with companies, and we are so lucky to have so much support reciprocated in the form of fundraisers and donations.

We would like to give our congratulations to everyone who was a finalist, and to all the worthy winners of the night. Although we ourselves did not go home with an award, for us the biggest achievement is putting a smile on the faces of children we are fortunate enough to work with!
