I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been invited to join the board of trustees at the Eastbourne Education Business Partnership (EBP). As someone who has always believed in bridging the gap between education and the business world, this is a fantastic opportunity to further support the local community.

For over 30 years, Eastbourne EBP has worked tirelessly to create programmes that enrich students' learning experiences while contributing to our local economy. From organising work-related activities to hosting large-scale events, their initiatives help young people develop skills for the future.

Some of their flagship programmes include:

  • The BIG Futures Show – A major event showcasing career opportunities for young people.
  • Eastbourne Youth Radio – Offering students the chance to produce and broadcast radio content.
  • Young & Junior Engineers – Encouraging a new generation of problem-solvers.
  • Junior Enterprise – Inspiring entrepreneurial skills in young minds.
  • Young Chef – Supporting budding culinary talents.
  • In-Bloom – Encouraging students to contribute to local environmental projects.

I’ve been involved with EBP for many years, particularly through sponsoring Eastbourne Youth Radio and exhibiting at The BIG Futures Show. I’ve always believed that by building stronger links between the business community and students, we’re creating a more informed and resilient future workforce. Young people need to understand the variety of career paths available to them, and I’m excited to continue contributing to this mission in my new role as a trustee.

The Eastbourne EBP board of trustees is made up of a diverse group of individuals from education, business, and local government. Together, we aim to expand the reach and impact of EBP’s programmes, ensuring that more young people benefit from these opportunities.
