Creating a Distraction-Free Environment for Business Success

We’ve spoken before about the importance of finding the time to work ON your business rather than in it (check out Tuesday Tip #94).

But finding the time to do this is only part of the solution.

The environment that you set yourself up in needs paying attention to as well.

You need to ask yourself, “Is it too easy for my focus to be interrupted?”

Do you have your own space?

Can you close and even lock the door to stop interruptions from staff or family?

Have you briefed your staff and/or family that you are not to be interrupted during the time you are working ON the business?

Do you put your mobile away and out of sight?

Do you turn off notifications on your computer so you don’t get distracted from incoming messages from emails, texts, WhatsApp, chats etc that are linked up to it?

Once you have got all of these things sorted, you are now set to stay focused on working on the things that will help move your business forward.

On the tasks that will either get or keep customers.

And if you’d like help and ideas on the things you should be doing during these sessions of working ON your business, just drop us a message.
