How to Engage Customers and Build Interest in Your Offerings

One to get you thinking this week.

Because, I think we can all agree, human beings are an interesting species in that we all have different ways of how we think about things.

So when it comes to business and the services and products we offer to the world, it’s quite difficult for you to know what people’s propensity is to spend money or to get involved with the sort of things that you’ve got.

Whist it’s true that what you've got could help lots of people, what needs to happen before it can, is that they've got to be interested and willing to engage with you and to find out about it.

But, not everybody will, because not everybody has the same kind of view.

We've all got different preferences and things that we would prefer to do and you need some indicator that what you've got is genuinely of interest.

And the problem is that a lot of people may not be interested in what you’ve got - Yet! Some will - but the majority won’t.
The notion that there might be a better way or a different way to do things is not something that occurs to most people, and therefore, there's just no way we'll ever get those people to engage.

So to combat this, through your advertising and marketing, you need to give people access and awareness of some of your most useful “stuff”. It could be a free webinar or a training course or a helpful guide on a specific thing.

You try and help them, and give them something that's helpful and useful, and they go, “this is good.”

Now you know that they've consumed that thing, that they've taken it or they've used it, you then follow up with them.
Follow up quite relentlessly.

You’re just trying to find ways to help and to become a thing in their life.

Eventually getting them to a point of “I'll give this a try.”
Then it’s up to you to look after them.
