Sovereign ward councillors have donated £250 to youth charity Eastbourne Sea Cadet Corps towards replacing dinghy sails for use in training sessions.
They approved the application made through Eastbourne Borough Council's Devolved Budget.
Elsewhere in Meads, ward councillors recently awarded £1,000 through the scheme to Seven Sisters Camera Club - sevensisterscameraclub.co.uk for a new projector.
The club, based in St John's Church Hall, holds Monday evening meetings and is currently offering free membership to people in the community.
Meanwhile, Devonshire ward councillors have lent their support to Friends of Seaside Rec's Funday on August 1.
They provided £350 through the Devolved Budget towards the annual event which celebrates the park (for more details visit friendsofseasiderec.co.uk/events
A further £750 was agreed by Sovereign ward councillors towards setting up a water refill station as part of Plastic Free Eastbourne's plan to reduce the number of single use plastic bottles across the town.
