The Art of Sparking Conversations: How Unbranded Stands Lead to Record Leads

At a recent business event with over 1200 business owners in attendance, four exhibitors went incognito.

Their stands were unbranded.

Their company name - or what they did - was nowhere to be seen.

If you had seen them you would’ve remembered them. Their stands said things like:

'Dare you take the challenge?'

'You'll Never Walk Alone'

And nothing else.

It was impossible to know what they did unless or until you spoke with them.

And all four exhibitors got record numbers of leads from the Convention.

This insight is worthy of your thought - because it's highly instructive.

They didn't sell their “thing”.

They recognised, rightly and wisely, that the purpose of their stand was to trigger conversations.

And the conversations would allow them to 'qualify' the people they spoke to...

...and get their contact information...

...and then follow up AFTER the event - which would lead to the sales.

So smart.

You know, so much marketing, not just at exhibitions, should be about getting a conversation - NOT selling the thing.

But instead, too many entrepreneurs and marketers just jump straight to trying to make the sale - and then are confused as to why they don't get the leads.

Baby steps.

Not giant leaps.

Smart. Not stupid.

You could do that, couldn't you?
