Curated by Eastbourne Eco Action Network (EEAN), this Symposium is the next step towards achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2030. This event will provide participants with the chance to share the results and analysis of our recent public survey among households and organisations. They will also be able to help to plan our strategies, with targets, over the coming year and future years up to 2030.
This is intended to become an annual cycle of events to gain more and deeper participation as we move towards our final target.
The Symposium will be held in the Court Room of Eastbourne Town Hall, Grove Road, BN21 4UG
It starts at 1pm on Saturday 20th April.
We now have our speakers prepared for their input:
Richard Garland of Gradient Consultants is our keynote speaker. Our Member of Parliament ~ Caroline Ansell ~ intends to speak, along with our Leader of our Council, our Cabinet Lead for Climate Change and our Officer in charge of Sustainability. Our Mayor will close the Symposium. The structure of the afternoon involves presentations of the results of our town-wide survey and its implications for moving forward over the next few years. There are workshops for participants to make their own input in our planning. Participants will have the opportunity to try out Giki and Small99 ~ 2 devices for managing people's reduction in carbon footprints.
