Established in 1957, Eastbourne Archers proudly upholds a rich tradition of archery in the Eastbourne community. Affiliated with Archery GB, the UK's governing body for archery, our club ensures the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
We welcome archery enthusiasts of all ages and abilities. To join our club, you must complete a 12-hour Archery GB approved course, a testament to our commitment to safety and skill development. If you're interested in our next course, simply use the contact form on our homepage.
Throughout the year, we host in-house and open competitions, as well as indoor shooting during the winter months at Hampden Park Sports Centre. For those curious about archery, we organize Open Days and Have-a-Go events, offering a taste of this exciting sport.
Once you become a member, you'll gain access to our dedicated archery field at Langney Sports Club, where you can explore different bowstyles, including longbow, recurve, barebow, or compound.
At Eastbourne Archers, we aim for precision, shooting at straw or foam targets at varying distances. Our Clout archery sessions, where we shoot at much longer distances, provide a glimpse into the archery techniques of medieval warfare.
