The school is on a hill and backs onto the Downs, meaning it offers fantastic opportunities for pupils to take full advantage of the surrounding environment (classes are even named after woodland animals) and make educational visits into the surrounding countryside behind the school, to the sea front, and further afield.
Pashley Down is recognised locally and further afield as being a very good school. Ofsted described the school as having an excellent ethos and a high level of inclusive learning, with standards of teaching and learning described as being good across the curriculum and in all year groups.
Visitors to the school comment on the warm welcome they receive at Pashley. The staff and pupils are proud of the school, and enjoy showing visitors around – especially the children who are keen to share their work and ideas with visitors.
Pashley Down has strong links with the local community and the dedicated Friends of Pashley team work hard to raise funds for the school to enrich the experience for the children by organising a range of events throughout the year.
Learning at Pashley is an amazing adventure!
