The Pevensey and Westham Historical Society is dedicated to fostering an interest in our local history. Our monthly meetings, held in Westham, feature informative talks from guest speakers. Some of our members actively engage in researching the captivating history of Pevensey.
Established for over three decades, our society initially focused on local events, such as the construction of the Pevensey Bypass, which would significantly impact our community. While our monthly meetings now cover a broader spectrum, they typically revolve around Sussex-related themes. Recent talks have delved into the archaeology of Barcombe, showcased old photographs of Eastbourne, and explored the life of Eva Braun.
2023 Membership Update:
Starting in 2023, our annual membership fee will be £10 per person, with a monthly entrance fee of £1 for members. Non-members are also welcome to attend for an entrance fee of £5."
