Climate Change and Water: the next 100 years in East Sussex
  • Towner Eastbourne, Devonshire Park, College Rd, Eastbourne
    BN21 4JJ
  • Wednesday 19th March 6:00pm until 7:00pm
Join us for a conversation about the impact of rising global temperatures on our water – in nature and in our homes. Our speakers will focus on East Sussex, what we’re already experiencing and what we can expect over the next 100 years.

We’ll be asking how we know climate change is influencing flooding, drought, coastal change, extreme weather, and water shortages. What’s being done to address inland flooding and rising sea levels, and how can neighbourhoods and individuals be better prepared?

We’ll share some positive steps that scientists, communities and engineers are taking to build resilience, and explore how art can help communicate the urgency for us all to act and adapt to our changing climate.

Panellists:
Anna Hastings – Blue Heart Project Manager
John Griffiths – Meteorologist and Head of UK Business Development at Kisters

Chair: Ritulah Shah, BBC
