Dive into Eastbourne’s watery past, present, and future at Submerged: Eastbourne’s Lost Treasures – a pop-up shop experience exploring flood risk, water resilience, and the fascinating ways water shapes our lives.

Check out our shop window installation by artists Suzanna Easton and Jenna Arnot, then come in, see what’s going on, and have a chat – we’d love to hear your stories and ideas about our changing climate and how we can adapt together.

  • Investigate our Lego Flood House
  • Play our new board game
  • Enjoy artwork created by students participating in our SuDS for School programme. Might you know one of the budding artists and engineers?
  • Add your local knowledge to our Community Map
  • Listen to local voices with our listening booth, Blue Heart Voices
  • Explore how water moves around our local area and how climate change is affecting our relationship with it.
  • Chat with water and flooding experts – ask questions, share your experiences, and learn more about the Blue Heart project
  • Find out your flood risk and how to protect your personal possessions, people and property – even if you live on a hill!

 Don’t miss the “Find the Duck” trail!
Search the shopping centre for hidden Blue Heart ducks, collect them all, and return to the pop-up shop to claim your prize. Fun for children and grown-ups alike!
