stayed at a nearby hotel for 2 nights and ate at the pub both nights. It was a busy weekend due to airshow but managed to get a table both nights.
Had great food and there were many specials and hard to choose from.
Staff are really friendly and there were a lot of them so no need to queue too long. They bought drinks from downstairs when sitting upstairs.
Good location and atmosphere with live music.
Would definitely visit again

Went there twice cause I loved the food. From the best fish and chips I've had! The portions are huge. Really friendly and happy staff!

Excellent quality food, no attempts to be fancy gastro and brilliant service. Atmosphere lively and friendly, dog very happy and food reasonably priced. Glass of house white did seem pricey tho

Great service. Delicious food presented thoughtfully. Good quality real ales. Nice draught lemonade. Nothing was too much trouble for all the helpful staff. Meals were good value and good sized portions, cheerfully and proudly brought to the table

This establishment produces some of the finest beer I have had the pleasure of drinking. The food was excellent although fairly basic but very good value. I would strongly recommend that you make sure you are hungry before you start as the portions are considerable. All round a very good meal.

Whilst on holiday we had a meal there , everything was spot on, tasty food ,nice friendly staff, clean toilets and plenty of choice either from the menu or the specials board, without a doubt the whole family thought it was very good and if in Eastbourne again would go straight there and not bother looking around.

Ate here Thursday night. Huge menu. We booked....luckily as very busy. Informed of 45 minute wait which was fine as lovely staff kept us informed. Food was lovely and worth the wait!! Lovely open mike session after too, though I resisted banging out my favourite tunes !

This was a visit for a snack before a visit to the theatre. Quick service, friendly staff, generous portions.
