Simple and easy menu. Lots of specials to choose from too. We always get the ribs although once it was not up to the usual standard but was promptly replaced with no fuss. Kids also love the food here. Especially the children's roast which is exceptional value.

Started well with a drink , ordered food not bad but when questioned one of the courses , was piping hot from the inside claggy and stodgy instead of crispy and creamy , asked the waitress was it microwaved she went off someone came back and said the chef said "no it wasn't" sadly it clearly was so the lie on top of the disappointing course made for disappointing evening ... better places on the front to eat !!

Popped in to grab some lunch. Had the most amazing homemade burger and the skillet of ribs was huge! More meat than bones like most ribs on menus! Couldn't fault the food, just wish we had enough room in us to finish it all. The staff were lovely and helpful and we will definitely pop in to eat when we are next in Eastbourne!

Lovely location with very friendly and helpful staff, but drinks are a bit expensive. Very tastefully decorated and a pleasant stop for a drink.

We called here for an evening. It looked nice enough from the outside. Menu fairly standard, but there is a specials board inside. The customer service standard was high. The interior itself was a little tired. It had a good sized bar with tables for eating at in the bar area, several sports screens, papers to read, a local information screen. The food was decent enough - we had pork belly and lamb burger from the specials board. With one drink each the bill was £32. The beer was very nice (choice of cask ales), but not used to paying over £4 a pint. The floor in the gents was very wet and I'm not totally sure what I was paddling in. Without the quality customer service levels this would have been average.

Despite being very busy, service was quick and friendly and I didn't feel awkward being a woman on my own. Food excellent and service quick.

Nice pub right on the seafront. There are some tables and chairs outside if you want sit out there on a nice day. We spent a few good pleasent hours here. We didn't order the food so can't comment on that. It's a dog friendly pub and one of the staff (all of which were very nice) brought our doggy some water.

We had a lovely evening in this delightful pub despite it being extremely busy they had two private parties on the staff were simply the best they were friendly, attentive without being obtrusive they noticed when our glasses were low immediately came to check if we wanted more the food was freshly cooked to order& generous portions I had steak which was cooked to perfection my husband had Quiche& salad which he said was the best ever! We didn't wait too long for the food to arrive either I can't recommend this pub enough it's well worth a visit prices are very reasonable and not forgetting the delicious sweets

Have a friend who struggles to find something other than a salad for a vegetarian when we meet for lunch. First time we have been here following a recommendation by a work colleague that a full Vegetarian Menu had been set up. She had the Nut Roast and I had the Feta and Beetroot Burger. Food excellent and we shall certainly be going again as first time in years she has thoroughly enjoyed her meal as did I and we want to try some of the items on the menu. Staff very friendly, lovely location and nice to go somewhere that does not have loud music blaring out that you cannot hear one another talk.
