We stayed over night Wednesday for my mums 90th b day and I booked 2 sea view rooms with disabled facilities for my mum . Staff on arrival were very kind and helpful .
But at 2 AM in the morning the fire alarm went off and was over 20 mins before someone switched it off .
We was on the 4th floor and I had to run to my mums room and try to help her out as she is disabled .It was a nightmare , people panicking and a few ladies in the same situation as my mum as they can't walk the stairs and of course in an event of a fire the lift is out of action .
There was an emergency phone in the hall which I called but it Does not work .
No fire doors to protect us in the corridors or the rooms which I thought was law .
Not 1 member of staff came to help or advise or tell us what or where the problem was .
Eventually some ppl came back up and said it was someone cooking or making toast in there room but im not sure .
Not one member of staff in the morning offered an apology or explanation of what went on .
SO if yr disabled my advice is book the lowest floor possible in case of any problems .We was lucky it was not a real fire but if it had of been We and others would of been stuck .

Stayed here for 2 nights last year to watch the Tuesday tennis schedule. Weather last year temperamental with cold wind and rain towards end of day. This time it was el scorchio.

Hotel is still tired but location for the tennis is excellent and with the Belgian cafe attached. It certainly is not 5 star and doubt it would claim to be. But for location, value for money and breakfast it can’t be faulted.

The Burlington Hotel is set on the Eastbourne sea front right next to the pier. The rooms have different prices dependant on what you needs are.We had a super room with a lovely view of the pier.Plenty of room and a nice bathroom. We had Breakfast and dinner which was very good.Dont like new system of have to buy your drinks at the bar then taking into dinner! They have parking at the rear of the hotel which is very handy.

Great superior room and friendly staff let down by other aspects that could be easily rectified The room was recently refurbished and very big which was unexpected as parts of the hotel are a little run down. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good- kept topped up even towards end of service. The lifts need refurbishing- They are so old and I was scared to use them as you could only really get 2 people in them and one of them broke down during our 3 day stay. The reception needs updating it’s very scruffy and dirty - it does not give a good first impression. Also although our room was very nice the balcony outside was really filthy it needed cleaning - we were in room 119. And when we got there the shower plug hole had dirty scum down it - I let the reception know twice but no cleaner came -in the end managed to find the cleaning manager who dealt with it. The last night I didn’t sleep as the noise from above our room was loud -pacing and thudding noise in early hours of morning. Also it’s a bit expensive £6 a day to park in the hotels car park -other hotels do it for less-£2.

Great location. Staff extremely kind and friendly. The location was amazing
The superior room was very large with an amazing view
The property was spacious however it is old and really needs some work
The downslope creaky floor boards told you the age of the building. There was a leak in the dinning room

Weekend stay The room was a lovely size and the Seaview amazing..The bed was comfy. A very quaint and old fashioned hotel The room we stayed in was in dire need of renovation. Two of the windows wouldn't open and there was obvious signs of damp below the windows. The breakfast in my opinion was overpriced with a poor selection and I had expected better for the amount charged.
