We did our yearly holiday to Pevensey !
Ordered some takeaway pizzas from
Massilia Bay , just eat had just finished delivering, however I rang the restaurant and they said no problem and delivered the pizzas themselves! Wow they were delicious!
So we made a point of going back there for lunch , what a treat , we all had different meals from pasta , burgers , sea bass and meatballs and spaghetti, everything was all top quality and delicious, the atmosphere and staff , the ambiance was just beautiful.
The day before we left , a Sunday I fancied a roast dinner ! And it was amazing , roast beef cooked mediam rare and to perfection, they had an out door BBQ going on and my partner chose a burger that was absolutely banging , and he knows his burgers!!!
We were so blown away by the staff and food, so told our friends to join us for drinks on our last night away !

We had drinks , served beautifully by lovely kind people , as we had dogs with us too , however we were made to feel
so welcome .
It was then time to leave , so we asked to buy some food to takeaway with us for our last meal ! The BBQ was closing and the Chef said he would sort a takeaway box for all of us ! Which he did , wow , steak , chicken , pork ribs , the works , amazing !
We were so grateful, I went to pay for this fantastic takeaway , and was told ,
No it’s on the house , and enjoy !
Well life and kindness doesn’t get any better than that !
It’s a must go to Restaurant which serves quality food , along with quality staff and a great place to be .
Cannot recommend it enough !

Booked a table at Massilia Bay as part of a family holiday in Pevensey Bay. Wednesday is half price pizza night and we all agreed the pizzas were amazing. Very authentic and tasted delicious. Lily was extremely attentive and we could not have asked for better service 😀

Comimos un jueves al mediodía y no hubo mucha gente. Los menús todos muy buenos, las pizzas también.
Servicio excelente por parte de nuestra camarera Adriana (de Venezuela), nos ayudó mucho en la elección de los platos y fue especialmente amable con nuestros nietos.

Went for dinner. Lily the assistant manager was delightful. We didn't realise that the kitchen closed at 8pm so we were there just in time. The seabass was lovely not overcooked and nicely presented. Wine reasonably priced. We enjoyed our experience so returning on Sunday for lunch

On this visit to Eastbourne we chose Pevensy Bay to look for food. Took a chance and very pleased we did!
We don’t know any names but our lovely waitress was much above standard and the owner friendly giving us a Bon Appétit as he passed :)
The food was delicious, Sea Bass and a Steak meal ( it was Wednesday Steak night, a free glass of wine )
We got lucky and will be back with my sister in law who’s a local but not been.
