A local pub welcoming strangers. Great menu, good range of drinks including tea and coffee. The decor is fresh and modern, and there s an open fire. There was no loud duke box or games machines in the lounge bar, there was however a pool table and dart board but we didn't venture in there. We had a sumptuous evening meal, but they also serve breakfast and lunch. Interestingly we were staying at the Shore View directly in front of the pub, so it was useful!

I stopped here for a beer whilst in Eastbourne the bar area is clean and well presented the staff polite and helpful although the pint was expensive I will return next time I am in Eastbourne

Went down for a weekend to do the Beachy Head Marathon. Stayed in a hotel next to The Crown & Anchor. It was a great pub with great food and beer. It was decorated for Halloween and the staff and customers were dressed up in costume. The atmosphere was fantastic. It certainly took my mind off the achey legs after the race.

Went for a meal in the evening. A very good choice of food. A large specials board and another menu. My husband had a hot chicken curry special, and I opted for half a roast chicken with chips and salad, could have had it as a full roast or with new potatoes. Friendly staff

This pub was truly a rare find. It's situated a 10 minute walk away from the main shopping area but ideally sited if you are staying at the Shore View. The pub has a perfect blend of local residents and holiday makers. It offers great entertainment and has a very comprehensive food selection which comes very well presented and along with the drinks which are very competitively priced. It will have my trade when I'm next visiting Eastbourne.

I never write reviews for anywhere but felt I needed too for this place! We were staying at the shoreview hotel literally seconds around the corner. We love a good pub and this has to be hands down one of the best. The staff were so welcoming to us and our children. Food was really really good too. It had a great family atmosphere and all the other patrons were just as friendly. Would 100% go back if we were ever in Eastbourne again.

Stopped for lunch and the staff were very helpful which made fir a pleasant break. Just missed the time for full English breakfast by they made us one!
