Amazed at the amount of vegan choices on the menu! Staff are welcoming and the manager is on the floor always, talking to people. Vegan burger was exceptional and the vegan brownie for dessert couldn’t have been better!
Had a lovely evening, and atmosphere was chilled but staff were attentive. Would definitely recommend this place for good food, good atmosphere and a chilled evening.

Would 100% recommend - there is a really great variety of food, and was surprised by how many gluten free/vegan options there were also. The food was delicious - we had burgers and the vegan brownie (not vegan, just liked the sound of it) and both were delicious; very reasonably priced and good portion size. The pub has a lovely atmosphere and all of the staff were friendly and made an effort to check on us during our time there, from our waiter, to the barmaids, to the manager also. Would 100% recommend.

Visited Eastbourne for New Year with eight friends and reserved a table for two nights at the pub. The atmosphere was great, a great mix of age groups with no problems. The food was enjoyed by all ten of us both nights, the staff were very friendly and attentive, will definitely visit again on our next visit

Had lunch their, for a club meeting, 20 of us. We had homemade steak pie, was fantastic, beautifully cooked, huge portion. Best ive had in a long time. Followed with apple crumble and custard.

I had the best lasagne ever here it was amazing husbands steak was a bit overdone but he still enjoyed it. Staff really friendly here too definitely recommend

After reading such good reviews on this seaside pub all I can say is every review is correct. Amazing , tasty, proper pub food. Good quality as well . Home made , Also have vegan menu, vegetarian and gluten free menus. Kids menu and dog friendly. We both had the home made steak and ale pie . Veggies were freshly cooked , no soggy veg . A gravy boat of really good gravy on the side . Really good value for money . We will certainly return and tell our friends and family. If you want a good meal . Nice pub. Lovely staff ( Charlie you were lovely) Then give the Crown a try. It s not pretentious. It’s comfortable & warm and good value for money . Thank you !

We dropped into the C&A to watch the rugby and found a welcoming pub, more than willing to reserve us a table to watch the rugby in the afternoon. We had some food while we were there and it was excellent. Thanks to Charlie who looked after us and some great new friends we met while watching the games.

Brilliant!
Highly recommended little local, obviously very popular as it was packed but we managed to get sat for dinner. The staff are fantastic and should be commended.
Lovely food, brilliant vegan options. All in all not what you would expect from a green king average looking seafront pub. Looks can be deceiving!

Staying in hotel next door and, as the weather was nasty, decided to go local. What a good idea! Very well organised pub with extensive menu including (if you needed it) the largest vegan menu I think I've ever seen. As carnivores we chose the lamb shanks - delicious. Attentive staff checking if all well and ready to fetch drinks to the table.
