This typical English pub on Eastbourne seafront we found welcoming and friendly. The owners have made beautiful Christmas decorations to enhance the friendly atmosphere and the beer is very good too. We have recommended to our friends coming later in the month.

Roast potatoes really bad, and sprouts were soggy and chewy and were definitely out of a freezer and not fresh. Disappointed with the roast but will return and try something else in the menu.

When we first walked in the pub was a lot smaller than expected and very busy. We found a table and ordered our meal, while thinking we would go somewhere else the next night. Then the food arrived and WOW. It was amazing. The food was excellent and the service very good. Needless to say we went back the next night too. Would definatly recommend a visit here

I have used the very pleasant bar on many occasions when frequently visiting Eastbourne. The food is very reasonably priced and is excellent. It is well used by locals and holiday visitors. A must if you enjoy good food and real ales

Amazed at the amount of vegan choices on the menu! Staff are welcoming and the manager is on the floor always, talking to people. Vegan burger was exceptional and the vegan brownie for dessert couldn’t have been better!
Had a lovely evening, and atmosphere was chilled but staff were attentive. Would definitely recommend this place for good food, good atmosphere and a chilled evening.

Would 100% recommend - there is a really great variety of food, and was surprised by how many gluten free/vegan options there were also. The food was delicious - we had burgers and the vegan brownie (not vegan, just liked the sound of it) and both were delicious; very reasonably priced and good portion size. The pub has a lovely atmosphere and all of the staff were friendly and made an effort to check on us during our time there, from our waiter, to the barmaids, to the manager also. Would 100% recommend.

Visited Eastbourne for New Year with eight friends and reserved a table for two nights at the pub. The atmosphere was great, a great mix of age groups with no problems. The food was enjoyed by all ten of us both nights, the staff were very friendly and attentive, will definitely visit again on our next visit

Had lunch their, for a club meeting, 20 of us. We had homemade steak pie, was fantastic, beautifully cooked, huge portion. Best ive had in a long time. Followed with apple crumble and custard.

I had the best lasagne ever here it was amazing husbands steak was a bit overdone but he still enjoyed it. Staff really friendly here too definitely recommend
