The Crown & Anchor recently hosted our work Christmas Party, the evening was a great success and the help from Charlotte and Olly was brilliant! Charlotte did everything she could to accommodate us and our team before and during the event.
Olly and his team on the evening couldn't have been better. The food was delicious and well received by all. We had three courses over the evening and the waiting staff were great with their service and clearing up, we had some speeches etc between courses and the team were more than happy to accommodate.
We had a total party of nearly 60 people, which fit well in the upstairs function room. We were able to decorate the room how we wanted, though the Christmas decorations already in place were great.
We had DJ Sarah Baker on the evening also, she was great and helped mould the evening into a memorable one.

Understandably, a very busy pub with a good atmosphere. We had a lovely Sunday lunch there with friends. The portion sizes were good and the quality of the food excellent. We had the roast beef (which is only served on Sunday) and the Belly Pork. All delicious. The staff were all lovely and really helpful. Will certainly visit again.

Honestly the best roast you can have in Eastbourne. We are now regulars here and the food never disappoints. The staff are all so lovely, and on quite a few occasions the lovely Jake has served us. Highly recommend the lamb shank roast!

We found this pub by searching for dog friendly restaurants in Eastbourne and we're not disappointed. The staff were very welcoming and whilst it's part of a chain, the food was tasty.
I enjoyed the cod and chips and my wife and my wife enjoyed garlic mushrooms with brie.

We’re down here for 2 days and purely accidentally it was Paddy’s day on our 1st evening . Wouldn’t normally be bothered about that but as this venue was close to our hotel we booked a table for the evening. We had a great night in here being entertained by Zen Relics but didn’t eat in here. However we saw others eating and it all looked good. So tonight (our 2nd)) we’ve booked a table again for the Abba tribute but will be eating our main meal in here 👍🏻

This is the second time we have been here . The first time was last year after we had been to see Rob Beckett at The Congress Theatre. We had a fantastic night . The bar staff were amazing. There was a live band on who were excellent.
This time we have come back to Eastbourne for our 1st wedding anniversary. We had dinner and decided to stay . The band were excellent food was amazing and the staff absolutely exceptional.
Highly recommended. A lovely lively feel good pub . Thank you for a lovely evening!!

Bank holiday Monday lunchtime, six of us, we hadn’t booked. Nevertheless we were welcomed warmly and given a choice of tables. Drinks order taken promptly and drinks delivered, food took a little while but it was worth waiting for - everyone was pleased with what they had. We would definitely return.

Chose Crown & Anchor because of the ratings and proximity to our lodging. Was not disappointed at all. Had reservations for 2 at 7:00. Table was waiting despite the large crowd already assembled. Service was fast, friendly. I ordered the Steak & Ale pie: lean beef with only a small bit of fat; the vegetables, especially the broccoli and carrots were delicious; the mash and gravy also excellent; and there was plenty of it. My wife's burger with onion ring was very tasty. The atmosphere was lively and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. As we were leaving, Quiz Night was beginning and the participants seemed to be focused on the contest and enjoying the evening. Overall, a really good value and good time.

Attended a wedding breakfast in the upper room. The food, staff and service were excellent and a lovely view out to the sea. Highly recommended.
