was in eastbourn for a few days.found the pub first night we were there.great staff were very friendly and made to feel welcome.food looked very good menu had a good selection.a sports room to watch football etc.sat in there one nightand watched the locall pool team play another local team great atmosphere all pals at the end of the night a 5-5 draw was a fair result. would highly reccomend this pub.ps live entertainment at weekends.

Popped in for Sunday lunch and the pub is very welcoming. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Food menu has something for everyone. We had Pork belly and roast beef sunday lunches and both were excellent. The pork belly was especially delicious, perfectly cooked and both were served with a good selection of vegetables including cabbage, carrots, swede, broccoli and roast potatoes or mash.
Glad we chose this for our dinner, so much better than the 'chain pubs'.

Unfortunately 2 of us had steaks and they were nearly cold by the time they got to the table. Was surprised to see them served on a COLD slate. Another person had sausage and mash, the sausages were overcooked and burnt on one side. Carrots and peas were supposed to be served with that order but only peas appeared. The fourth person ordered steak pie and mash, once again the pie was over cooked consequently turned out to be very dry. One of the steaks was replaced, still not as hot as it should have been, and again on a very cold slate. Had meals here before which had been ok but wont be rushing back this time. Hot plates, hot meals not too much to ask for.

Went with the Mrs. for a Sunday lunch. Popular place, busy with all types of customers, families, groups, couples etc.
Good food, good veggie choice. Was impressed the bar staff warned me the beer I ordered was very expensive, thank you, not everywhere does that. Will be going back

We went back this evening for a second visit and found it as good as the first time and will definitely go back again. The staff are excellent as well as the food.
Definitely recommend for a good and reasonably priced meal.

The pub offers a typical pub style menu and is very welcoming. The food is OK. It was perfect for our party because one couple had a dog, which, in this pub was welcome.

On the sea front it was the first pub we found and that was no bad thing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We did not eat but the food we saw coming out looked good. They have a good selection of beers and the place feels like a real pub should.
