Grand hotel (1851) that's faded and needs refurb. Under new management who are bringing the place up. Reception helpful. Room needed a lightbulb changes, and bathroom fittings repaired. No room fridge. WiFi worked. Cocktail bar led by a real enthusiast. Breakfast not so great. Staff helping everyone, and pastries (ordered in I suspect) good. But the cooked breakfast could be better without much extra cost

Down here for business so the location not relevant but close to the pier and the beach. Room was good and service fine. Stayed here twice so far and back next month.

The hotel location was spot on!! Literally in front of the seafront, pier and all these amazing food stalls. We have the “superior sea view room” I highly recommend you to book this room; the room was super spacious , the sea views directly from our room was just a surreal experience.

superior double room
Fantastic warm welcome from reception, hotel alive with cheerful people going to dinner. So happy we were able to park directly outside in a pay and display bay (also takes disabled badges and hotel permit voucher) Lift took us up to the pleasantly warm corridor to room.
Overwhelmed with the standard of the double room, so large with desk, coffee machine, kettle with all teas coffees hotchocs biscuits and even bottled water. Good size TV opposite the sofa, chairs all over looking the sea views and seafront gardens.
Bathroom has a step in shower plus bath and toilet with a view of the seafront (net curtains for privacy).
Would definitely book here again, great price.

Suoer location overlooking the Pier. Great friendly staff and good food. Buffet style breakfast with lots of choice. Room spacious and very comfortable. Only negative couldn't open windows for fresh sea air.

Right on the sea front practically opposite the pier so great view. Room was spacious but nothing fancy. Strange sloping floor! Very limited restaurant menu but food was on the table in minutes!

When we booked we requested a sea view. Unfortunately we did not get a sea view and were told they were fully booked up..so we had an awful view of an outside stair well. The room was spacious and clean though. We had to ask for towels as we were only given tiny hand towels, but this was rectified quickly. The window only opened slightly and we were boiling hot all night.
