Pevensey castle is in a beautiful setting and you know from walking through the public route and seeing the Roman wall that you are in for a good day of historical reflection. The staff members were very helpful with questions we had and show they really care about the environment they work in. Everything was neat and tidy such as information boards and signs and we certainly learned more than we thought we would about the Romans, Normans and through to WW2. If you are planning a trip to the south coast be sure to include pevensey Castle. There was also free street parking if available but also a £3 all day car park (card only) and facilities outside the main entrance to the roman wall.

Venue was nice, traditional theatre.
Bit strange for a live band to play to a seated audience & also not have a bar while the gig is on but the audience didn't seem to mind.
The Stewards let the venue down. I imagine they are mostly volunteers & over 'a certain age'
I was 'told off' by an elderly gentlemen for taking photos. I actually had a complimentary ticket from the band, reason being to take photos! but he insisted it was the bands request.
Stewards were constantly trying to keep people in their seats when they had previously been told it was fine to dance.
Once everyone got up dancing the Stewards just gave up!
After the show I heard two female Stewards discussing the band & how the venue wasn't right for them although feedback from ticket buyers was amazing.

Nice run down castle. The outside area is free but inside you need to pay. Lots of dog walkers so stay on the path.
