The Gage Players
The Gage Players, which was formed in 1950 by accepting a challenge (laying down the gauntlet or GAGE) by Walton Village to form a Dramatic Society, have been putting on productions at the Riddell Memorial Hall in Walton on the Hill for over sixty years.
They produce two full plays a year – in spring and in late autumn. As they like to enlarge their repertoire, they are always interested in recruiting new actors and also in extending backstage crew, the hidden heroes of every production. So we would welcome approaches from anyone interested in performing, or in helping with set-building and painting, or props and wardrobe, or front-of house – selling programmes and raffle tickets or helping in the bars. If you would like to learn about lighting and sound, our present crew are very experienced and would be glad to pass on their skills.
They are a friendly and supportive group who enjoy some social occasions together as well as the fun of the plays.
