I Highly recommend any small business to join FSB!
From the free business banking, the online resources, support and so so many more membership benefits that seem never ending, to the networking opportunities across the country that offer contact and connections with an eclectic mix of businesses - this is a membership that I never begrudge paying, it is well worth it and suggest that every member get involved with the events, visits and fsb in general.
Score 5/5 for me!

I am an engineer and started a business in 2005. I was very naïve about many things. The FSB can give advice and support on so many issues. I've used Pensions and Legal advice, HR and insurance services. I realise that, after fifteen years, I see the FSB as a sort of wise "virtual" friend or colleague who time had prevented me from finding in the normal way. They have sales links with relevant products, and there is always an area co-ordinator or manager who can help steer you in the right the direction through their network. I am so glad they exist and have helped me in a big way on several tough occasions. Great organisation.

Can't speak highly enough of the organisation. First class communication on all aspects of running a small business - information, advice, legislation changes, services offered, etc. Quarterly 'First Voice' magazine always a good instructive read. Frequent local events covering all business facets. Have partaken of a number of these and found them very worthwhile and informative. Excellent range of services on offer that, frankly, I should be taking more advantage of. Above all, it is crucial to have a national body lobbying for small businesses - why would you not support it? Definitely great value for money.

I've been a member of FSB for several years now. My company won one of their national awards, which has helped us considerably. The services they offer are very useful, and it's worth paying the annual subscription to be able to access these when required. The FSB people that I've had the pleasure to meet have all be polite and courteous, and have been genuinely interested in my business and finding ways in which they can help.

I joined the FSB weeks before I began my company, even before I got an accountant. Throughout, they have been incredibly helpful in all areas I've contacted them about.

Additionally, their regular newsletter is filled with local events and webinars covering a range of subjects. Their local networking events often have excellent speakers who join us for a chat before and after. Made some great contacts and learned so much. Well worth the membership fee!

Love the networking, the membership support options, and that you look after the little businesses by lobbying on our behalf. I've used the help line on several occasions, and currently use your supported insurance company for PI insurance.

The main thing we use FSB for is to keep abreast of the latest developments on employment law, GDPR, etc., via e-mail updates and the occasional phone call when we've had a specific question.

This has worked well for us, and we haven't found a more cost-effective way of meeting this need.

We live in Bracklesham and most activity goes on in East Sussex and is too far away for us.

Been a member a few years, the access to free legal advice and employment contracts was invaluable when we started and would have cost more than a few years membership. Too many benefits to mention here, and all accessible online or via specialist advisers whenever you need it. They carry real weight in central government too - in representing small businesses.

I have been a member since 2015. I joined for the Legal Advice when I was a Sales Agent for two organisations and wanted to ensure contracts were protected. I have since used many of the other benefits including Debt Recovery and the Legal Documents. For the very low cost of membership it really is great value for money and a ROI is Guaranteed if used properly.

I've been a member for the FSB for 15 years or so and I can wholeheartedly say that it's been a very worthwhile membership.

Not only do we make use of several of the benefits (or have in the past) such as free banking, legal services, debt recovery, auto enrolment pension scheme, Tax investigation protection and so on, but we also attend many of their networking events and seminars/information sessions.

It's true that in the last couple of years, they've lost the plot in terms of the organisational structure that they've frankenstein'ed together, but I still make good use of their benefits and believe in their ability to lobby and campaign on our behalf.

Hopefully they will accept what a monumental error they have made within their organisation and restructure to create a more member focussed organisation before they lose too many members.

Great support and it has paid for itself in the debt collection assistance alone! We attended local meetings and have found the advice and networking opportunities to be great.

I'd recommend any SME's or Sole Traders ( ANY Profession ), to join FSB. They are a very useful "Tool" to assist with Guidance, Advice, Discount Benefits, Policies ... the list goes on !!
I rarely need it but the Legal Advice is excellent, 9 just don't commit yourself or say anything to a 3rd Party or Staff Member UNTIL you've spoken with an FSB Barrister or Solicitor, then follow their instructions.
My advice ……. you'd be daft not to join !!

Have to date not fully utilised what is on offer but the time may come when that may change, sometimes have the feeling it does not want to get its hands dirty and not do anything controversial or make a stand for a particular group you never see them on the news

Too much feedback request not enough action ------------- except for arranging 'connections' to services most of us don't need or want - or probably have a cheaper source of already. In the 10 years I've been a member most of the 'perks' have gone and the core is - mostly - of benefit but there are now at least 3 competitor offerings at a similar cost....................what is the USP any more....???

I was a member years ago. I rejoined with the next company I started. The support and facilities are worth every penny. It is one bill I do not mind paying.

Not close enough to small business, too many sales mails, reviews and surveys without action
