Worth joining for the insurance aspect, but a little expensive.

So far i haven't used FSB for any of their services. But that it my fault due to time constraints. Lots of email with opportunities to help small business in different ways. I will be looking at our insurance which is due to see if they can get it cheaper for me.

Very good value for money with a useful range of services, even leaving aside FSB's campaigning on issues that affect small businesses. Free advice from FSB legal services earlier this year made it easy to defend a spurious court claim of £6,790.88 against us, which was dismissed with an award of expenses in our favour. Also this year, FSB insurance at an annual premium of £5,456.88 saved us £1,278.40 (or 19%) compared with a renewal quotation of £6,735.28 from our existing provider.

Great support - useful information, updates on new legislation etc. I used the legal helpline once and it saved me a lot of money. Also the security of help if you ever have a tax inspection is extremely valuable.

Not to forget the lobbying work FSB does for small businesses, keeping us in teh public eye.

I am new member in the City of London

We are a small corporate finance boutique working with SME's and I wanted to be closer to this community. The fsb makes plenty of sense.
The value proposition seemed to make sense and that is coming through. The leadership team are very good people. I look forward to being part of the London story. Mark

We've been members for many years and in the early years there were regular meetings and events. However, in recent years there has been nothing. And the subscription has gone up quite a lot over the years. I have been considering cancelling it.

FSB provide an invaluable service for small businesses like Channel 2020. Their support for us on pensions and HR matters has been clear, helpful and money saving.

We've been members of the FSB for around 15 years now - possibly longer. With the benefit of many years' experience and knowledge of the benefits offered, I can safely say membership of the FSB is probably the singlemost cost effective thing we do as a business or as individuals every year.

For the numerous legal advice documents, templates, draft contracts alone, the membership fee is worth it. Add to that a second-to-none, top quality legal support helpline with very quick, detailed advice on all sorts of legal problems, backed up by rock-solid guarantees, that also would warrant the membership fee alone.

The FSB campaigns and lobbies government on all sorts of issues pertinent to small businesses and offers an array of cost-effective membership affinity deals with banks, insurers, credit card processors etc, all of which means that even if the legal advice were not relevant to some, the FSB continues to be worth every penny for all its many other activities and member benefits it offers.

Great to have the backing of the FSB being self employed. Great resource and good to know they are there if I have any issues.

Since joining up with FSB, I have greatly benefitted from their support, advice and business updates.
Also of great benefit has been the personal contacts from local meet ups. Following recent consultation with Albert Wright, I was provided with useful support, fresh business insights and new work areas that I am following up.
I definitely recommend FSB to practitioners as well as start ups and established businesses.

Although a very new member to the FSB, I have been impressed by the standard of efficient membership management services received from Steve Smyth and Phil McCabe.
I intend to make as much use as possible of FSB's membership benefits in the very near future.

I Highly recommend any small business to join FSB!
From the free business banking, the online resources, support and so so many more membership benefits that seem never ending, to the networking opportunities across the country that offer contact and connections with an eclectic mix of businesses - this is a membership that I never begrudge paying, it is well worth it and suggest that every member get involved with the events, visits and fsb in general.
Score 5/5 for me!

I am an engineer and started a business in 2005. I was very naïve about many things. The FSB can give advice and support on so many issues. I've used Pensions and Legal advice, HR and insurance services. I realise that, after fifteen years, I see the FSB as a sort of wise "virtual" friend or colleague who time had prevented me from finding in the normal way. They have sales links with relevant products, and there is always an area co-ordinator or manager who can help steer you in the right the direction through their network. I am so glad they exist and have helped me in a big way on several tough occasions. Great organisation.

Can't speak highly enough of the organisation. First class communication on all aspects of running a small business - information, advice, legislation changes, services offered, etc. Quarterly 'First Voice' magazine always a good instructive read. Frequent local events covering all business facets. Have partaken of a number of these and found them very worthwhile and informative. Excellent range of services on offer that, frankly, I should be taking more advantage of. Above all, it is crucial to have a national body lobbying for small businesses - why would you not support it? Definitely great value for money.

I've been a member of FSB for several years now. My company won one of their national awards, which has helped us considerably. The services they offer are very useful, and it's worth paying the annual subscription to be able to access these when required. The FSB people that I've had the pleasure to meet have all be polite and courteous, and have been genuinely interested in my business and finding ways in which they can help.

I joined the FSB weeks before I began my company, even before I got an accountant. Throughout, they have been incredibly helpful in all areas I've contacted them about.

Additionally, their regular newsletter is filled with local events and webinars covering a range of subjects. Their local networking events often have excellent speakers who join us for a chat before and after. Made some great contacts and learned so much. Well worth the membership fee!

Love the networking, the membership support options, and that you look after the little businesses by lobbying on our behalf. I've used the help line on several occasions, and currently use your supported insurance company for PI insurance.

The main thing we use FSB for is to keep abreast of the latest developments on employment law, GDPR, etc., via e-mail updates and the occasional phone call when we've had a specific question.

This has worked well for us, and we haven't found a more cost-effective way of meeting this need.

We live in Bracklesham and most activity goes on in East Sussex and is too far away for us.
