A new pottery studio has opened in Epsom, the brainchild of local resident Angie Starr.
Happy Glaze Ceramics is a new 28 seat paint-it-yourself pottery studio in Waterloo Road, Epsom. The studio provides the bisque, paint supplies, and a clean, cosy and relaxing environment to put it all together.
Open seven days a week, the studio offers birthday parties, workshops, hand and footprints, after school clubs and adults only sessions on Thursday evenings from 6pm.
Angie said: “We have been looking for premises for a while and when the shop in Waterloo Road became vacant it was absolutely ideal for us. We opened at the beginning of May and have been delighted with the positive welcome we have received!
“We supply everything the artists needs including a large selection of pottery, huge selection of non toxic paints and all the brushes, sponges, in fact everything needed to create a masterpiece. Our customers have been busy creating their own unique pottery with a personal touch like a mug with a child's handprint, a custom designed teapot and a very special dog bowl. When the artist has finished, a clear glaze is applied by the studio and the pottery fired. Items are available for collection a few days later.”
The studio fee is £5 per painter which covers paint, glaze and firing (and a complimentary tea or coffee) and items to paint start from £6.
