A charity is making a special appeal for thrill seekers, with a head for heights, to sign up to Guildford Cathedral Abseil taking place on Saturday 6 June 2015.
Anyone over the age of 16 can register for the chance to descend the 160ft tower at Guildford Cathedral, and participants are encouraged to wear fancy dress. The challenge will be overseen by Mile End Climbing. Participants will be fitted with a harness and helmet before climbing the 249 steps of Guildford Cathedral’s spiral staircase, to the top of the 160ft bell tower and enjoy the spectacular panoramic views of Guildford before climbing over the top and abseiling down.
The registration fee for adults is £25, or £20 if you register a team of 5 together, minimum sponsorship applies of £250 per person.
Money raised from the fundraising event will benefit The Children’s Trust, the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury. For more information about the abseil event and The Children’s Trust, visit www.thechildrenstrust.org.uk or call Nicole on 01737 365019.
