The Epsom Mayor, Councillor Liz Frost, and the Chair of the Council’s Community and Wellbeing Committee, Councillor Barry Nash, will be presenting all 222 children who were part of Team Epsom & Ewell, certificates and trophies following yet another successful year at the Specsavers Surrey Youth Games.
The youngsters, aged between 7 and 16 years, are all residents of, or are schooled in, Epsom & Ewell. A record 560 young people took part in the free trials and coaching sessions organised by the Council. The borough won the highest team entry for entering teams into all 15 sports.
The Specsavers Surrey Youth Games is a multi-sports competition, spread over two days, in which all eleven districts and boroughs in Surrey enter teams into different sporting events. There are events for all ages, including sports for young people with disabilities.
The presentation ceremony is on Wednesday 12th July
