When you do your shopping this week please keep in mind the Foodbank – helping people in times of crisis
The Foodbank provides local people with necessities, not luxuries. It allows people to collect the basic necessities they need to live.
This week 3rd January the following items are needed:
Happy New Year to you all. We hope that you had a very enjoyable Christmas break.
Whilst the whole of 2019 was busy for the Foodbank, December was exceptionally busy. On one day at one centre we fed over 140 people. The same week all of our other centres were also busier than usual. Fortunately ,due to the generosity of local people,we have had enough food to meet the ever growing demand.
We cannot predict what 2020 will bring but we do know that we will continue to need your support if we are to continue feeding local people in crisis and food poverty.
The warehouse reopened 2nd January, and our wonderful staff have begun the mammouth task of sorting through the many donations that were donated just prior to Christmas. Therefore our wish list is only for things we know we are very short of -
Sugar - preferably 500g bags
Tinned meat, pies etc
Cooking sauces- curry, mushroom et etc
Long life sponge puddings
Nappies - size 6 plus only
Jam
Many thanks for your continued support
